- Battling Joe Harlan in his Nissan 240SX GTL car at Portland International Raceway during the SCCA Sept. Regional in 2019. I had some older tires on and his car was very quick through turns 4,5,6. I had enough power down the straights to hang in there and I was able to catch up and get within striking distance with a few laps to go. I was able to drag race him to the line to take 6th overall and 2nd in class behind Parker Johntone and his EP Honda S2000. Best lap time in race: 1:28.2
amazing driving skills and love the hands, foot action. Also, ice in the veins sticking on his bumper the last lap and getting the win.
Did I see Joe come across you (at the 5:26 mark) late going into Turn 10? He should take that SIR off his L16 so he can stay with your rotary on the straights...:}
Nice drive Austin!
Love the shifter extension
Was the S2000 that Parker was driving, Joe Carr's car?
More than once he came across Austin. Someone needs to remind him he racing for a $5 trophy....
good race..
Strange, he pulls on you T4-6 but you hang with him T10-12. Why does he take such an inside line entering T1? And where did you learn to scream like that? Oh, that's right, you need to be heard over that manic Mazda motor.
Jim Cissell you are welcome to come show me how it’s done Jim 😉
@@joeharlan7285 I'm afraid there's nothing I could teach you.
Jim Cissell I am very open minded...😁. The difficulty here is the video is not complete. Austin drove a good race and clearly had the HP to get it done when he needed too.. when you drive a handling car it takes the whole track to keep a HP car behind you. None the less it was a good race and I lead most of it but Austin lead the one that counted 😁
@@joeharlan7285 It all counts when you're having fun.
