- The Twist is an all-new paddle series created by Epic to give maximum efficiency for experienced paddlers. The unique shape of the Twist blade provides an aggressive, clean catch, and extremely efficient stroke with a very stable feel in the water. The first paddle introduced in the series, the Mid Twist, grabs the water effectively like a blade with greater surface area - thanks to the enhanced efficiency.
With several years in development and testing, the result is a totally unique, original paddle blade design. The Twist blade enters close to the boat during the catch phase, then flows outward naturally during the power phase of the stroke and exits smoothly. No additional effort is required to create optimal flow of the paddle.
The Mid Twist is a mid-size paddle suitable for the majority of surfski and fitness paddlers, looking for the next step in their progression to increased performance. - Спорт
Reminds me of some of the Braca paddles, with a very pronounced backwards cant.
I found those to produce effortless-feeling forward stroke, but unpredictable when bracing.
Looks great! Hopefully it arrives soon in New Zealand. Currently using the small mid full carbon.
I had the opportunity to try it the other day, great catch, even pressure through out that added stability to the surf ski. Have to say it’s my favorite of the 10 or so paddles I’ve had in the thirty years of paddling. So I ordered one, there is limited supply with the early production, but it arrives Tuesday, can’t wait.

Enjoying mine so far. Kinda forces you to use a proper technique. Blade feels small in the water first time you try it.
Will perform better in flatwater but for downwind I think the regular mid wing is the best.
