I was planning on becoming an editor after recieving my bachelor's in English. But with the rise of AI programs, I realized that any chance of a job like that will be gone within the next 10-15 years. Now I have my associate's and im going into dog grooming instead. Robots can't do that :/
First off, that's amazing you are doing dog grooming instead. I watch pets getting treatments all the time on UA-cam!! 🐶 I think that writing is hard rn but don't give up on your dreams! from the knowledge I get from articles, AI isn't advanced enough to create quality work. I feel like maybe you should write and do dog grooming! My boyfriend is a dietitian and does a lot of freelancing writing on the side because he loves it! Do not give up on your dreams! 💜🤞
AI will maybe assist and enhance these jobs but there are some jobs that will be negatively affected. Like journalists, advertisement acting, and any job relating to having a presence online. For online journalists it will become much much harder to discern real news from fake, especially when the thing they are reporting has a lot of money involved. Acting jobs will be replaced by AI created videos of people promoting the product, or a celebrity’s image being used with no actual work being required by the celebrity. I suspect the same will happen for social media, if the companies like google and facebook don’t stop ai generated content farms.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It's true that AI will bring changes, but it's also an opportunity for innovation and adaptation in these fields. While there may be challenges, there's also potential for new creative avenues and solutions to emerge. 😊
I find the article misleading as most of these jobs are going to simply receive less head count, whereas some of them like customer service will receive a significant amount of less headcount. Replace kind of suggests that the occupation will not exist anymore which is not the case and usually used for fearmongering and thus, clicks, thus money.
I think a lot of jobs, for now, won't be fully replaced by AI...maybe with an exception of entry level jobs. Yes, this article had two varying views! One researcher who believes that AI can enhance/assist with productivity while another researcher who emphasizes the complete elimination of particular roles!
I agree @philpatt970 ! @sujit2609 as long as you stay one step ahead of AI, you should be fine. As for the future generation...who knows what will happen... 😕
I feel like if you learn how to use the tool instead of ignore it that’s when you could be at risk.
I agree!! Work with it, not against it. 🤞

Are UA-camr’s on the list?
Are you really an AI??
LOL maybe 🤔 😂
Makes me scared as a software engineer
I think software people will definitely be impacted. I think good software people will be able to use AI to augment their job.
I agree @philpatt970 !
