One thing that I have learned watching your and other bushcraft channels is having a notebook or notepad. Writing down these tips, wind, steps, landmarks, all help navigating. Thanks
I have no idea who this man is or what he does, nor why this video was suggested to me in the feed, but he's handsome and I enjoyed watching and listening lol. All I got was that he navigated through Paris to get to a friend's place without the need for a map and using monuments and other city elements as reference points. Neat.
Thanks Nick for sharing that. It seems that in today's age everyone uses their phone navigation to go to the local grocers. Thanks for showing us the skills that we can use in an urban environment.
Yeah but Nat Nav does not work too well in most cities, especially old european ones that dont have straight streets and too many dead ends and points you arent allowed to cross the road (although i gotta admit its probably safer than gps... it once tried to send me onto the highway with my bicycle and yes it was in the right mode).
Now that is the kind of British visit I want to see in my hometown ! No offense to the king hey, but I'm much more interested in a Nick in Paris over some royalty ! Hope you had a fun time here !
Street signs: I was in Toronto, Canada and there is Dundas St West and Dundas St East. Fantastic! Until you walk east on Dundas St West and all the street signs still say West. lol The CN tower is Toronto's "compass" needle.

I mean, if you have to practice a skill, doing it in Paris on a sunny autumn day looks like it would be tough to beat. :)
👌 Practice all times of year but this was particularly fun 🤩

Paris? What a place for a stroll, at any time of the year. I like the arrondissment system, the way it’s created on a spiral….
👌
Tough job but someone had to do it lol
🤣👍
Alright Charl, are you in France because you’re French and that? Whatever! X
