      It’s not got a 100,000+ subscribers because it’s a show about ball cards. I subscribe to several ball card shows on UA-cam and none of them are even close to that many subscribers. But to me it’s the best one on UA-cam.

    This UA-cam series is something truly, deeply and profoundly special. I don’t know what it would take to get you to TV, but this deserves to be broadcast worldwide because this reflects the ACTUAL hobby. It’s truth, the love, the passion and the testimonies and stories. This is why and how it began and the depth of value this provides on a human level is incredible and needs to be shared with more people. I also love how emotional it is, I don’t think I’ve seen an episode that doesn’t bring a tear or tears to my eyes. God bless you and all I ask is that you never lose this touch you have with the people and the faith and God aspect you are willing to reflect also because it is all deeply needed. Thank you for always reflecting the nostalgic, genuine side of the hobby and not selling yourself short to project the business and cutthroat mentality delivered on every other channel. You are really appreciated. God bless you, brother and God bless all the endeavors for Chasing Cardboard. 🙏🏼💙✝️🙌🏼

    I remember Scott, and collecting some of his rookie cards back in the early 90’s. My heart goes out to him and his family for the loss of his brother. Losing a close relative is an emotional hardship, but losing someone so young is devastating. May God bless you and your family, and help you heal.

      A lot of those were low priced autographs not worth the cost of JSA, and sell for $5-20 and will take years to sell. The Mccovey can be bought for $40 on eBay or less and it’s the best thing in there (that we saw). I'm pretty sure when people donated items to help the foundation, they didn't anticipate those items would end up in his personal storage unit. 5:56

    • @CHASINGCARDBOARD
      @CHASINGCARDBOARD  6 місяців тому

      After they extinguished the foundation, they had a lot of leftover items. They kept stuff out of that, and sold the rest to us and another retired MLBer. So no, they didn’t commit fraud. They had a TON OF STUFF.

      @dsinsocal 6 місяців тому

      @@CHASINGCARDBOARD Thanks for the reply. I dunno... nothing seems OK about donated items ending up in someone's personal collection, years after the foundation was closed down. I would have felt an obligation to liquidate the items prior to closing down the foundation and put the money toward the cause it was originally intended -- even if it was just 50 cents on the dollar. The last thing I would have done is lock it up in my personal storage unit.

    $850? What a joke. I am a dealer and I would have offered way more than that. The Favre Ball had a COA, and if half of those had COA's, you are going to do just fine. It also doesn't cost $75 per to get authenticated. It goes by the athlete and some are only like $20, and there are quite a few big names who are only $20-30. The guys who are $75 are guys who are passed away like Willie Mays, Ted Williams, etc. They may be more now, but they were. Regardless, if you are getting the bats too, then you screwed him at $850. That Judge bat alone is worth more than that.

      @CHASINGCARDBOARD  8 місяців тому +3
