Do some research on what healthy dogs with healthy amounts of fat should look like. its far different from this.

I like how a Lab's strongest response to nail clipping is licking, when every other breed wants to rip your throat out.
My dog starts shaking. We get it done at the vet so I’m there petting her but my poor baby. I’ve had her since she was around 8weeks & she turned 14 in February-March,&’she’s always been this way.
I think because the majority of people don't know how long the nerves are in the nails of different breeds and cut too much

Ah yes a chonkador, they are a type a Labrador. Quite common, their natural environment is on living room sofas. They have a very special gift of being able to hear food hitting the floor from any room in a house. They are always full of love and happiness. Milo is quite the perfect specimen

Yeah, labs are absolutely OBSESSED with human food. When my lab was little, she jumped over the back seat of our van into the trunk, ate an entire pizza, then jumped back out and went on her business.

I had a black labrador for 7 years. He also was like a vacuum cleaner - even without children around him. xD I had to have an eye on his weight all the time. He was a happy goofball and I loved him to pieces. Sadly he had cancer and passed away way too early. :(
I lost my black Lab at six due to spinal degeneration. 30 years ago now and I still choke up.
I'm very sorry for your loss... our chocolate lab just passed away from cancer last November, he was with us for nearly 14 years.

He reminds me of my mom's black English Lab, Teebs. Teebs is a little overweight because he has a nasty habit of stealing bread off the counter. We recently got a bread cabinet for my mom so that Teebs can't get to the bread. He's already lost a few pounds thankfully.
Really He Likes bread? My Dog IS a total foody and very Fancy strawberrys only with a dot whipped cream 😂😂😂😂❤️
my lab used to do that too ahah. and CAKES... it's ridiculous the amount of birthday cakes she's gotten a bite of. we have a bread box now and it also doesn't hurt that she's too old to jump up on the counter anymore

Had a chocolate lab just like him. He was always begging for food, even though he was fed a regular diet with treats in between. No amount of training could tell him that he will always be getting another meal. He stared you directly into your eyes, your soul, looking for that last scrap he could get out of you.
Food was his life and he had no shame about it, he was a little heavier than he should have been, but he was well loved and had a giant yard to run around (though he liked being inside once he got too wet or cold).
Sounds like one of the goodest boys I've ever heard of. Lucky doggo had a pretty nice family. :)

@@amysavino7634 It's the skin that rolls that way, not their fat. My lab is at a completely healthy weight, but the older he gets, the loser his skin gets. It doesn't bother him, it's just funny to squish his rolls.

This handsome guy reminds me of our sweet Molly who we lost to cancer in 2011. Still miss her so much.

But there is love in these videos, and you tell us about the dog and their personality, the things they enjoyed and didn't enjoy about the process, and somehow, that makes it interesting. I don't know why. I enjoy your videos, and I tend to like seeing the transformation, too; the before and after dogs can be wildly different-looking dogs, you are an absolute pro. The animals love you and they look great when you're done.

Labs are a big go to for family dogs, we used to have an English Black Lab and he was the bestest friend ever growing up.

Our Lab mix was very overweight and due to a thyroid problem. 8 months and thyroid meds later, he's down 30 pounds and enjoying his second puppyhood now.
My girl is getting her thyroid checked at the end of the month

Damn. I had a big chocolate lab that knew my soul for six wonderful years. 1995 to 2001. Had to have him put to sleep due to a very aggressive and painful osteosarcoma. I was with him until the last breath. Never have I cried like that before or since. This sweet dog reminded me of him so much, and has brought me to tears again just wishing I could spend one more day with Henry.
