Droidekas gotta be my #1 for this faction. Droidekas were probably one of the biggest reasons I decided to get into Legion in the first place, and I’m much more of an Empire guy typically. But I love the design of them conceptually, and I love that they included the rolling function in Legion so they’re a unit that can move further than many other types of troops, and I love that they’re shielded too! Just so cool.
I really want to play them but I always fail with them. Got any advice?
@@thomaslecomte1570 I’m still very new myself, so I don’t really have much experience to offer. But for what it’s worth, I think their ability to move 6 spaces in a turn and their ability to tank a few hits makes them great for getting to and guarding objectives. Also their speed makes them decent for flanking too. I also believe they actually count as cover for any units behind them, which is cool considering they can soak up damage and keep regenerating shields. Walking cover is cool.
I’m shocked for me AAT is #1. Customizable for specific targets with the shell upgrades and pilots make it very wide on what it can do. Very powerful on its own too. Once killed Vader in 2 rounds with the AAT alone
Wow! in the first 2? my brother plays imperials while I play CIS, so this is very comforting and just awesome to hear
While I'm still new to Legion, but a huge Separatist fan, I would love to see them add the Vulture droid (walker/ground mode) to the game. Plus some more variety vehicle wise for all the factions.
My favorite CIS unit had always been the magna guards they are so terrifying and a good for either long range impact with there rocket or a up close jedi killer with immune to melee perice. 2 health each red saves and the ability to take a dodge or an aim makes them my favorite unit
Like the list. I don't play the Separatist as much either, but I play against people who do. I really like the look of the models, but I play other factions. I would really like to see crab droids added. I know they are a bit obscure, but they look great and I think they can burrow to hide themselves. Most of all, they look great,
Always loved the CIS. The droids are just so cool to me that's why I picked them for my first army.
Haven’t played Maul yet. Love the B2s, need to get more. I also love the magnaguards (no cycle bazooka 😍) and the AAT (drop him somewhere and make suppression rain while being an obnoxiously survivable target). Dunno if you’d count him but Bossk is also one of my faves

The magnaguards are just so good. They can be used as a Jedi hunting unit and can just annihilate them in a couple of turns. They can also protect units like maul and grievous especially with their guardian key word. But overall the CIS are very good and my favourite faction. Would love to see a battle soon
I like the "Persuader" Class Droid because it's rare to see tracked tanks in the SW universe.
Cis do largely fill the role enemy factions to me, but I do like a lot of there stuff, and I'm a big fan of there armored units, but I absolute love the dwarf spider droid kit, it just comes together so well and probably my favorite build experince in the game, though the I'd rather take either tank then them in game just on a desighn level

Your 5 is my 1. The Persauder is my favorite unit from start to finish in the whole Legion range. Looks, building, painting, and gameplay. I run mine with Defensive Protocols to make it extra tanky.
Overall I think CIS ( and GAR to a degree) needs more Corps choices to be on par with the older factions. CIS has a glaring lack of Critical and Surge access at the Corps level compared to other factions, and the units that do have this are expensive. I’d love to see B2s get better access to Surges without needing to pay for a T Series. I’d also love to see the Hailfire tank droid, or the HMP gunship. Yeah, I love my heavies.
Crabok!!!! Pls could you talk about Umbarans as potential new faction/battleforce/units? How you see them fitting into the legion
Magnaguard are just iconic and need more options. In Battlefront II you can have rockets and grenades etc.
I played with Grievous for the first time a couple weeks ago, and I really enjoyed how I can keep him moving without losing the ability to attack.
Just started gluing together my b1s from the core set yesterday. There is a lot of them 😂
Late to the party, but my top five is General Kalahni, Droid Commandoes, B2, Destroyer Droids, and AAT.
I really hope they come out with the HMP Droid Gunship in the future.
Why are the CIS your least favourite faction? Gameplay-wise? I for one never played but i love the models ^^
Based of how he acts I think he doesn't like there named characters nearly as much as he does characters like Leia, luke and so on
I only own 1 core set worth of CIS, so I haven't run them yet. I'm mostly an Empire player. I was surprised that Ventress wasn't on your list.
The Count and the AAT tank are my favorites.
The AAT with it's barrage keyword is my absolute favorite. I love feeling like heavy artillery.
I've always loved the design of the B1 Battle Droids. That being said, I feel like the Separatists were a bit of a missed opportunity by George Lucas. I maintain that the Wookies and the Mon Calamari should have been part of the Confederacy. It would have highlighted the idea that the Republic was well on its way to becoming the human supremacist Empire.
And feloni burried that idea even more by making then mustache twisting incompetent villains
My son plays the CIS - his go-tos are Dooku, AAT, Magna guards, Droid Commandos, and spams of B1s . . . these are probably my votes for best units. :-)
Favorite is still my AAT. Not only because i like the model and the rules but also just love mine with its white and copper paintjob, even if i am really not the best painter out there at all.
I'm new to the game and only have the core set, but I look forward to getting b2s, magnaguard and dooku!
For me, it’s the humble B1 squad. I love thematic lists, and they’re nothing if not thematic.
the model i would love to see for the separatists would be the vulture/buzz droids.
Unit I want to say. I say it all the time, Umbaran Special forces.
I would love grievous to get a new profile, something that has more to do with his shock and awe and then run tactics, rather than being slow and tanky but easily suppressed.

Loving seps but they seem to have the largest learning curve, and are not very satisfying to play since white dice are miserable but if you stick with it and learn them, you'll have fun
Two out five isn't bad. Especially for the number of units involved.
Droid commandos are my rule of cool
I think AAT is for sure on my list, Maul is there too. Not at all surprised he is #1 for you
B2 battle droids are king even if they aren’t great 1 black and 1 white is quite good if there is enough cover
Seems like CIS has more variety when it comes to peoples top choices.

Also my least fav faction, especially playing them. Cool models tho. But to be fair I don’t think I’ve invested enough into my CIS army/it’s mostly the starter box+bane+an AAT
my favourite is definetly the bx series commando droids
B1 droids. Ok they suck but they just look the part. They are hard to assemble but easy to paint. And they just look fantastic.
Gotta be real honest, I respect your list, but it’s gotta be a crime that the dwarf spider or magna guards on here maybe I’m biased cause I play a lot of CIS and never have any luck with B2s BXs

I also don't like using the Separatists that much. With my seven years of miniature hobby experience the droids are so finicky to build and paint, in my opinion they're not really beginner friendly. Also can someone please explain to me how the shield tokens for the Droidekas work. Is it two tokens per model or can I use all four to save one model in the unit?
AAT, even though it's not that good. Just too cool.
i have no intention on playing this game, i dont like the idea of all them counters all over the place. why cant they make the bases have a spinning counter?
that being said, im considering on buying the separatist invasion starter box to paint up to put on me display, maybe an army one day.

I love the Darth Maul character! But I feel like they made him too weak for this game! Yeah, the extra action sounds good but you can only move 2 times and you can only attack once still! So yeah, that doesn’t leave much room for anything big. And then 5 health is very weak! Even if for some odd reason you choose not to get that extra action every turn 6 isn’t much better!!! But I get why! It’s because they made most of the big characters also very weak and their choosing not to fix that so therefore they really can’t do to much when bringing in newer characters!!! Whatever……. I like playing Separatist but army as a whole is just too weak for how good they should be!!!
