You’re doing great with the baby goats. I have a prayer request, my husband has suffered a spinal cord injury due to an infection. He is paralyzed from the waist down. He’s been in the hospital for the past 4 weeks for therapy. We are both in our 60’s and learning a new way of life.

I feel for Abu being a loner with 2 sets of brothers. It good he follows his own path
Abu will come out a tougher(good way) adult and maybe even a kinder goat due to not being included by the other natural siblings. He already received a wonderful start, as have the siblings, with his people parents loving on them all the time. They will probably work out socialization on their own with a little help from their precious and so very loving ,and caring, people guardians/parents. Right now he is a chip off the old block and happy as can be. Time has a way of working many "problems," out. How can you not love and enjoy "our" Gmom and Gpa Doss !?! They have been and will continue to be such a joy!!!

I think Rylie took off after the baby goat because she was trying to keep him safe from Fox!!! Fox was headed straight for him & Rylie ran interference!!! Love Y'all Doss Family & God Bless!!!❤❤❤❤❤
I don’t. I think because the dogs are still young, they’re going to chase the baby goats, if they run. That could’ve gone way worse than it did, if Fox had continued to attack Abu. Sometimes dogs will join in, on the attack, when stuff like that happens.
I don’t believe Rylie would have joined in. She only chases them when they run. She thinks they want to play. I do think the dogs were trying to run interference and Revel had Abu turned back toward his pen but Rylie was coming up from the other way and Abu didn’t know which way to go. They will learn to trust the dogs and understand they are there to help.

You did great with the baby goats out in the big pasture. By the way, goats are NOT territorial, however they WILL establish a "pecking order" and that's normal. You could try putting the LGD's in the small pen (no leashes) with the littles, the dogs need to familiarize themselves with the scent of the littles so they know who they are protecting and because it's a smaller space, there is no room for anyone to pick up speed and for the "chase" to begin, so it's safer for everyone. When the dogs are accepting of the littles, they will be safe out in the big pasture.

We had a long=haired pure bred St. Bernard many years ago. I can still remember her leaning on me whenever I was outside near her. I guess they just like to have someone else "feel" their weight once in a while! LOL! Also-thanks for showing all the cute Easter Seasonal decorations inside your home. I do have one suggestion when ya'll put all the goats out together, is to shut the gate to Fox & PeeDub's feeding area until they all get along better!! If the lil ones get in there it could cause a major problem with Fox & PeeDub. Once they all start foraging good together & a lil at a time for them to be all together in with Fox & PeeDub by summer time. My husband just had a stroke. We were blessed that there was minimal damage. It affects his speech the most. As for the old eggs… put them in a bowl of water… the ones that float, throw away. The ones that sink are good.

Your decorations are so cute!😊 A friend of mine had a gold tree w/loops at the end of each branch & random kinks on the branches. It sat on her kitchen table. She decorated it for every holiday. About now, she would've had bunnies, chick's, ducklings,eggs & baskets - anything to make it sparkle. I'm glad you have Shannon, who loves to decorate! 😅❤

Thank you for the prayers G & G and everyone. I was in the ER 2x in the past week and a half with tremendous pain in my stomach and abdomen and after a CT, they diagnosed me with Diverticulitis and I'm on a strict diet and antibiotics. It was rough the first 5 days but it's getting better little by little. I appreciate you both and everyone who prayed as well.

You might want to watch Hidden Heights a couple of times to see large LGDs with goats. They will lay next to a momma goat as she delivers her kid, even eat the afterbirth to keep predators away. Remember how good Smokie was with her goats? Zoommies. I miss that fun.

Revel & Riley still have a bit of pup left in them, they may just be playing with the littles. They all just need some time to adjust but I think they`ll be buddies in no time. Truth be told all the littles will take a few tumbles from PW & Fox, a pecking order will be established. Prayers up for those who need them.
Plus the littles instinctively run away from the dogs which causes their chase instinct to come out.
That’s exactly right Mel. The puppy comes out in them when the goats run. They want to chase them and play too. I am not at all worried about them intentionally hurting one of them but they don’t know their own size and strength. I was brushing Revel the other evening and he started to put his paw on my arm. I moved and got it across my face. Wow, those are some BIG paws. They have become protectors of the little goats and bark at P Dub and Fox. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not. 🤣 🤷🏻♀️ Grandma Doss

I remember the video where Ralph had said that the vet said, NOT, to put the baby goats in with the big goats, till they were a lot older, because the big goats could kill the baby goats, if they rammed them with their horns. I’m a very concerned animal lover!

I think the babies running puts the doggos into play mode & of course they won’t hurt them, just curious & playful, not realizing they are so small.
