Made this tonight for dinner and it was a hit! I made a pork chicharon and onion condiment to put on top of the rice and topped off w fish sauce to make a vietnamese version bc i didnt have the stuff to make it thai. The chicken was sooo tender and the garlic chicken infused rice was delicious! This will be in my biweekly dinner rotation.
I simply like how classy she looks like when cooking...been curious as to what happened to her right after MasterChef Australia Season 1...good thing she has her channel .😍😍😍😊😊😊
I adore the way you cook, it so satisfying and amazing! That dish looks beautiful and delicious 🤤 I really wish i can taste it.. but anyway, love the vid ma'am!
This is what I had the whole time during my visit to Bangkok. Me, being an Indian can't really stay without rice!!!! I must say, I just loved the street and sea food. Besides, I had so many options to try on! About the video, you are simply awesome! Your cooking instructions are easy to follow and can be done with handful of available ingredients. Best wishes, Marion!!!!
I just finished making this recipe. Turned out delicious! Love that you get so much delicious food out of so few ingredients. The chicken, the rice, the broth, the sauce! LOVE IT!
I've been in Thailand for 13 years and cooked khao mangai for the first time. It was the most delicious chicken rice i've evert eaten !!!! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful recipe. ❤
Great recipes Marion. Brings back wonderful memories of my years, on and off, that I spent in Singapore and the many hawker stalls I ate at with great gusto.
Omg what an amazing mum/daughter/chef!! I have been watching Marion’s cooking videos for hours now like Im addicted to her AND the food haha I need to make all foods with her recipe now!
Just when I thought I couldn’t love you any more! 🤣 My mom always saved the chicken wish bone for my sister and I. That story brought back the fondest memories of my childhood. I can’t remember what I wished for all those times, but the wishes always came true. 🥰 As you were cooking the chicken, I thought of a cheat using skin on chicken breast, and this is on my list of must-try’s. Thanks for warming my heart today! Loved the video. 😍😋
Dear Marion! Thanks for this! I made it today for the first time ever and imediately texted my mom and thai fam. They were so proud! It really warmed my soul 💖 because of work I don't get to visit my family in Thailand that often and I miss them soo much. This brings me back to my childhood. There's a Kao Man Gai joint at the market in my village, it still exists and making this felt a bit like I was there!
Wow this is my favorite menu. Awesome. Additional tips rub sea salt to chicken skin and leave it for half an hours before boil that chickens would give skin nice and firm and taste good. Moreover add pickle lime to that soup would add a nice and fresh soup taste .
Making this for my boyfriend's birthday after we spent our Christmas in Singapore! Making some more Singapore style sauces to go with it but thank you for showing how to break down the chicken, other recipes I found didn't show that lol
Tried this 6 years ago when we are in Thailand, I really miss this dish so I tried cooking it using alternative ingredients, I am happy with the outcome. I filmed while cooking 😁
I made this for dinner. It was super delicious. Used sambol instead of soy bean for the sauce. It was nice. Your receips are easy to follow and they are delicious. Thank You.
I made Hainan chicken rice watching your video a few times this month and it was soooo good I was so pleased cuz I had only ever had the sauce packet which was itself very flavorful. But today, I wanted to try Hainan chicken made by like…not me. So I went downtown to the hawker center in Seattle and ordered the Hainan chicken. It was a bit dry and I asked what style it was and they said Thai and my friend told me that Thai style is usually dry. My Thai friend prefers khao man gai to Hainan chicken but I think your Hainan chicken recipe that I made was a lot better than the chicken I had today. It was still good but less flavorful than I expected. It came with one condiment and that was a lovely explosion of flavor. Citrusy, fresh, not very chili forward if at all. I’m glad I made your Hainan chicken rice before having gone. You’re out here making us professional chefs! 👏🙌🫶🏽 thanks mama!
Amazing easy way...and in English..Wow your English and your accent are wonderful..Your beautiful video is the radiance of your soul...I have enjoyed watching your Wow video till the end..I am sending you My Full Love and My Full Support.

Marion, perhaps if you add two pandan leaves and a knob of ginger to the rice, it will bring it to a new level.
Jariyah Yusoff in my country cambodia we cook it too
I agree..!
What is pandan leaves?
