Direct, witty, funny, humble, intelligent, honest, warm, the golden voice and poetic tongue.Great showman.Great spiritual human being. Thanks for inspiring so many and giving so much.💚
Do stop deifying the poor man. He would not have appreciated it.
Stina was very successful in bringing us a Leonard Cohen that was real and transparent, thanks to her good listening skills and insightful questions. What a man!
Leonard shared His honest Self at 67-years-old - the age I am in. Helps me so much to live my day today. I like the Interviewer's honest personal approach and the Editing is spot-on. Cohen's laid His Inner Self through out His life, chapter by chapter, the man truly LIVED! A treasure for later generation's examination. History of Humanity. Thank you!
What a wonderful, honest, humble man he was. I will always cherish Leonard Cohen in my heart. There will never be anyone like him in this world. Thank you for touching so many people with your work and the human being you were.
Thank you Leonard Cohen for your wonderfull life. Thank you for sharing it freely with the world. A unique and most enjoyable person. Your music makes me very happy. Appreciate your depth of intellect and your beautifull simple heart. The world will miss you. RIP with your Marianne. God bless you.

Beautifully said💘
What a beautiful soul.
Thank you Leonard for everything - your heartfelt poetry, your beautiful music and your incredible wit, you touched me like no other. RIP
This interview shows the true genius of Leonard Cohen. To deliver such poignant and intelligent answers to such inane questions is quite a feat.
boy I would have loved to interview him and we would be talking more on his level
Thank you Grace E. Reed. I truly wish you did this interview. Someone with some depth of intellect and soul on his level. That would be enriching and more enjoyable for Leonard and viewers.
Questions were ok. But you don't need questions to tell the story. We are pretty same with Leonard, I know what I'm talking about.
You lot are being way too harsh. The poor woman was super moist for the entire interview. That she was intelligible at all was an accomplishment.
He certainly seemed to enjoy himself, but I was embarrassed for her! Her very first question was about women getting naked for him. He just pretty much laughed it off. She was quite the flirt.
This is a gorgeous sexy beautiful man, so comfortable with what life brings him, he lived life on his own terms, soulful
His women did not think so, they knew him first hand and would defo dispute your superficial adoration.
I’m 78 years , I respect him and love his voice..his music is dark but honest... There will never be another musician with his aura ..
He sounds so at peace with it all. ❤️
You’re deluded.
I stumbled across this interview. It is very enjoyable to listen to Leonhard Cohen, the calm demeanour and well chosen words. The interviewer's obsession with sex deflects the message the man has.
I think his message is partly just that - we're all obsessed with sex!
I love this man so much charisma and charm the real deal RIP 😘💙👍
That was amazing , what a legend that wonderful man is.
she has been in bed or wants to go. she's purring- he got it right.
this interview is dripping with sex.
He would not have wanted you to think so…..
Hahaha these comments are great. Agree with Rhyatt, Leonard's answers are a breath of fresh air to a very stale interviewer. This man will live on forever in the hearts of many.
A very profound interview, thanks Leonard RIP
Leonard you are a connected human, your questions and your answers, you knew them already, you interpreted your being honestly. Thank you for your honest and heartfelt, true wisdom
Huge thanks for this fine (3 part) interview of the one and only Leonard Cohen, I've loved his work for a lifetime, wonderful man.

Leonard Cohen is a wise ledgend
Learn to spell.
What a great frank and wise interview with humour and humanity. I mourn his passing but am grateful for his music, thoughts and life.
To be reminded of this man's wisdom and honesty..such a rare human being of his time..
To experience his presence brings joy like no other..
Thank you for this interview before his passing from this life time..
So precious has been his contribution to the human race.⭐
OH what a watch! Thank you. And thank you Leonard for all the music. It is beautiful and so are you. Will be hearing your voice for a long, long time.
A beautiful man inside and out. I do pray he is in heaven. Love him hope to see him again.
I don't feel unbearable loneliness now. I enjoy all people. We are designed not to grow tired; there are so many opportunities to see your beauty. This is an affirmation in all of us. Leonard Cohen is a great human being. He helps me to be a better person and enjoy the third act.
He is one incredible human being, his honesty of accepting non sexual love is beautiful
He probably had over 1,000 women in his life. He was very flirtatious with attractive women and they were drawn to his music, his voice and his attractiveness. He is 80 years old here. He said he still has sex with women kind enough to offer it. I dont think he would be with elderly women and i think he still drew younger women in since he was still writing and performing. Glad he mellowed and found peace in his later years. Marianne, his major love, suffered immensely because he would never commit or be faithful. She had abotions because he didnt wantg children. I was so surprised in the end how much he praised his children because he denied Marianne that choice.
An amazing guy, love his music.
"... a companion of my soul" said once a fan of him. I fully agree ❤
He was a phantastic MAN, and we miss him and all the Songs 😥
💜 from Germany
Spectacular! Both luminaries. An exquisite exchange of deeply honest, soul conscious personas.
Thank you for this wonderful interview.. I love him n love him even more.
+allegri9cl Me too, and Marianne Ihlen too, absolutely, once upon a time
We too, here in germany
An excellent interviewer in synch with her subject is a beauty to behold
wonderful interview; and love his explanation about the "real me"....
Now this is an interview!!! Eventually!!! Brought me to tears and laughter, and inspired me a lot, thank you
... Health and Wealth of one’s children... followed by the self. 🌺
Il répond à toutes les questions même les plus personnelles, celles que beaucoup de femmes se sont posé à son sujet, thanks to answer Mr Cohen and thanks Stina for this moment whih him !
One of our Best. We lived when he lived. Lucky us
Thank you LC. In my heart forever.
He wants to be back in his childhood, and he wants to socially acceptable to women. In this moment he is trying to enjoy other people, and he wants to know more about her. The life he said ‘it was a joke’ is too difficult a life to live. The world is a very mean place to be, and one must find shelter and he does not want to die like his dog, all alone in a snow storm of life.
love that he kept greek worry beads with him till the end
A wonderful interview!
A beautiful interview. Thank you.
Many years have passed since that interviuw, now I am in the beginning of my third act and, again, Leonard gives me the answeres...!!! thank you..... only the greatest live for ever,!!!!
What an interesting man, I have just see his film with his first love, Mariana
Thank you xx
indimenticabile Leonard.
Thank you very much
.🎉
This interview removed some questions I've had about Cohen. Thanks. A truly honest and interesting man who wrote wonderful songs.
Õh hallelujah what a divine şoul, Leonard your beauty & brilliance will live on forever ~ what a privilege this interview would have been Thank~u for ur insight ~🙏🏼~💖
A civilised man in a world of maniacs. GRHS.
Happily mellowed.
What a beautiful and wise man Leonard was, he surely aged like a fine wine and grew wiser and deeper. This whole interview is absolutely great and she was able to get a lot of deepness and thought out of leonard even though for a moment I really felt that she got a bit overly obsessed with the sexual part and started running in circles around the matter.instead of just keep talking about other things this amazing man had to say
Que d’admiration pour cet homme plus grand que nature .
Wonder if Jennifer Warnes was one of his women?
She did a album on Leonard's music compositions "Famous Blue Raincoat" This wonderful album of her stunning vocals is one of my most played
cds for decades. I still enjoy it very much.🙏👍♥️👏
Fascinating!
Excellent 🙏
Thank you ,Thank you ,Thank you !!!
it is so annoying that the interviewer can't stop asking him about his most personal experiences of love and sex. we all want to know maybe a little bit but this is so indiscreet that it makes my skin crawl. And he is so patient and kind.
Tough interviewer. Though all in all I felt he was genuine in his responses and as always poetic, I also occasionally felt he was making light in a serious manner. I love him. And to the side, if anyone should have won the noble it was him. Sorry Dillon.
Handsome man. ❤❤❤❤❤
Amen to Tigerlily's comments below. Love you always Leonard
Hallelulia, hallelulia, Cohen singing this song...
Leonard Cohen is an Enigma
Leonard is loving the superficiality of the interview, having fun.
when u need truth u turn to him
5:23
''For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.''-Leonardo da Vinci
''How much more then; than those who've straddled that flight
and had chosen to jump from it's wings?''-Former Paratrooper Sgt. Gilpin
To all you men out there; this is a former paratrooper's ''War Dance''meant for you.
To all you birth giving women out there; this is an admittance of the constant longing to return from whence all loving life has come.
Or in the words of the earlier than us to arrive -Leonard Cohen...
''It is in love that we are made. In love we disappear.''
Here's to you LC: Mankind's Deepest Friend...
''There are artists who can wrest us up, & place us into themselves.
These are the 'One's Who' will continue to wrest us up...
Well beyond their rests in peace.''-gilpin 8519
Obligement's SighsNorth: for such a fine platform within which to pop off.
Post his time spent with Ramesh Balsekar. You can tell by how he speaks of the self and it’s lack of control.
You just know his little dog waited for him.
we`re designed,not to grow tired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She seems dying to end the interview and jump on him. My god her facial expressions are saying it all.
Moist. She was definitely hoping to be "exceptionally kind" to his old age.
I couldn't agree more! Wonder what Leonard Cohen really thought of her.
She likes him very much. More than likes him.
She's turned on too much to him for a public interview. He seems amused by her indulgence. Would have been alot better interview if it was not with her on heat like a dog. Poor Leonard.
It's ok, let her enjoy the passion for him and the old dog enjoy the attention.
Some men just have that special aura that makes women's heart melt. I once lived together with one such edition in a shared apartment. Every week at least 2 new girls. It was terrible for me :(

@@oceans9687 it is a very interesting interview just because it is so personal, no one cares about formal stuff. She is a skilled journalist
@@biquettesauvage1 she's a Dick! an ignoramous simpleton. gross and low I.Q. to be in the presence of the great man Leonard Cohen. beyond embarrassing and a fool she is. see other dislikes comments about that imbacil jurno plz! if u like her yr in her low level league too i'm afraid. have a nice day.
Leonard Cohen is. The man….
it brings peace into my home hes the only one does i live alone i dont want no one in here
Way I feel, nice to have peace in privacy...wardances outside at work and in society...Shalom LC!
What a pity this silly bloody woman has the wrong kind of "performance" on her mind but Leonard is as gracious as ever. RIP Leonard Cohen.
It wasn't her fault...she was in the presence of L.C.
This woman is begging to be laid. She’s a predator and he knows it. There is nothing in her he wants he clearly has seen it all before. Quite frankly she’s a distraction, white noise is this interview but he handles her with grace.
Exactly. She just wouldn't leave it alone. There's so much more to Leonard Cohen and she chose to focus on her own attraction to him. Luckily there are a lot of other interviews to choose from.
Dennis Hastings Dennis don’t you wish that they would play his music on every channel for the next 24 hrs this country could use healing and his music does just that...still. Indeed may he Rest In Peace while his music continues to bring healing and serenity to those of us who truly see the beauty of his voice, his calm spirit and his music.
@@susanm7887 - You know I do, Susan. He's my hero. I read a book of his interviews and I am not kidding, it was just as interesting as his music. What a guy.
I wish she would interview me.
He was super charming and sexy.
Leonard, at your age, mine younger, we could have sat and chatted. Handsome, virile even at this age that is no age.
How is it possible to get access to the transcript? When I follow the link I come to a login page. When I go to the main page of that website it's blank except fort the name webheights.
Stina needs to come out and make a statement following the Paris events. We wanna know...
- Did she also undress and show herself naked in Paris “in many ways”
- How many of her girlfriends ended up with Leonard? 😊
PS: Thank you for the lovely interview Stina. This keeps Lenny alive for many of us who loved him. ❤️
“I have companionship, I can enjoy both men and woman.. a sexual dance going on w woman and a kind of a war dance going on w men.. it’s very agreeable to have them consist of one or two steps rather than the acrobatics they used to be“
“We’re designed not to grow tired.. so many opportunities to see beautiful people.. I see it as an affirmation of that mechanism that’s within all of us.. women have been exceptionally kind to me in my old age.. they get naked in their different ways.. and cover me up like a baby that is shivering…. I wanted to thank everybody.. “ LC
“Relaxation.. is the content of peace..
Why people are what they are… what has relaxed is the sense of control.. “
“The health and welfare of one’s children is the most important thing.. after thst comes ones own health and one’s own work.. and then playing w dogs has a big importance in my life..“
“Who are you today?.. (smiling.. giggles).. I’m your guest.. “
Loved most part of the interview but it focused so much more on his sex life. we could have used a more well rounded interview about other aspects of his creativity. It seems like the interview didn't really evolve, she kept asking about his sex life and stuck to her script
When he was talking about how the sight of a naked women always gets you going and that it never disappears I was reminded of what I read in Playboy many many years ago. I think the photographer was a guy named something like Fagley or something like that. He was the chief photo guy for many years and when he was asked if it still excites him to see a naked women she said "all I see now is a pair of utters".
You can almost feel that in a moment she is going to say "Have you got five minutes - I have a room booked just in case". I sense her sitting more and more forward on her chair. He did great to play her along and not fall for it! OR perhaps he didn't? Where did they go afterwards?
Andrew Bryan He boned her. no big deal
+ahyaok100 Sure,so what?
You realise this was not the first time they met?
@@lennarthedlund9783 I had a feeling they knew each other, it seemed evident
lololol she is nuts.
Yes it seems she has one thing on her mind, I wonder what happened after the interview!!
This interviewer is unbelievable. She's nearly drooling on him. Ugh.
Aren't we all just trying to figure it out?
All of them asked me the same question!!!
If you would make love to them!!! Now we know what women think about. Doing some fantasy man that will never meet. And you and I are probably third best.
Neither Marianne said nor Susanne. I'm surprised. A little respect and I think they should have been mentioned first.
This Interviewing female is giving out a very strong vibe to Leonard that she wants to jump his bones, I can see it, and Im 100% sure he can also, but I doubt if he did, not just because of her awful teeth but that she just wasnt his "type", whatever that may be. He certainly knew some beautiful women that I wish I was a capable of knowing way back in the days of old but I dont have anywhere near his charm or talent...
Look at the women running around in the 1960s and even the 70s and look at that same age bracket today and decide which are the ones with the best style and looks.. No contest...
room number?
Such a concept, an interviewer trying to seduce the interviewee.
This lady is a sad embarrassment to the fair sex, some of those expressions !!! ,Hope Leonard got home in 1 piece. R,I.P. forever. X,
She is good example of someone who is good company. 5 stars. Put him on the spot with the you are ladies man awkwardness question. She was nice. People should be nice. She smiles, makes it all alright. That maybe from a Leonard song. It is true enough.
“Never”? What are you talking about? Such a ridiculous, superficial, superfluous comment, dismissing all the incredible, astonishing people who have lived and continue to live in the world. He knew this and self-promoted downwards so the average person could understand something of his beliefs. He was not a saint, sage or god. Do stop treating the man as though every word from his lips is treated as gospel.
This woman is not nearly bright enough to be interviewing a man of Cohen’s intellect and deep philosophical sense of self and the human condition
Yes, he's aromantic repulsed I guess. Lord, I couldn't have guessed on my own.
to much cheese. little music. Girlish interview...
What foolish, immature questions from this silly woman.
Very wise and mature questions.
Shit do y’all listen to his music?? He’s a hopeless romantic, he writes of his muses.. women were his inspiration.. this is exactly what I’d ask.. he answers so elaquently, honestly and really paints the picture.. he’s had many lovers. He speaks of the women in his life with love & respect.
