Living with Salinity in Southern Indus Basin

IUCN Pakistan's new documentary, "Living with Salinity in the Southern Indus Basin," showcases a successful 2.7-year collaboration between local farmers, IUCN Pakistan, the Australian Center for International Agricultural Research (#ACIAR), and consortium of international experts from Charles Sturt University, Murdoch University, and the University of Canberra, along with national partners from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology and the Society of Facilitators and Trainers. The farming community has demonstrated effective adaptation to salinity by integrating indigenous knowledge with scientific techniques and utilizing nature-based solutions in saline aquaculture and agriculture in the coastal area. Through trial and error, these farmers have gained valuable insights, transforming into researchers and educators who now share their knowledge and experiences with other farmers.
