Whenever I hear this song, I think of my boyfriend because he makes me have hope, and I let the pain go when im around him and he makes me feel better, he helps me fight my depression. This is what I imagine what this song is about, being in love but not sure if they are the one because past relationships as well just having depression and can lash out by accident because of past trauma or so and being scared and sensitive but, didn't mean to lash out on them and cause them to have fear of you at that moment
