The decision to purchase a new driver has a lot to do with where I play. I'm a senior (76) player and play 4 days a week here in Texas. Playing the Senior tees, I can't always hit driver on the various par 4s. A few years back, I went to Club Champion for a driver fitting. I ended up paying $1000 for a Titleist head and upgraded shaft. No complaints about the price, I agreed to everything. That's the point though. When is the right time to spend that much money on a club used for only eight shots in a round. I really find myself asking, "how much difference will any new/different equipment make in my score"? My current index is 9.1. My 2 cents!
I just picked up the g430 max. Got new for 399$ at my local Golf mart. Not the 10K version. It is incredMart. Fairway finder . Also it is my first ping driver. I had the TaylorMade Qi 10 but this one is just better for me all the way around. And I know James Robinson is going to hate me for this.. I like the turbulators😂
Completely agree. Mine is 2 to 3 mph faster swing speed than the Titleist TSR3 I bought. Disappointed in Titleist because the "R" meant the refined version of their multiyear project. Then they come out with their GT drivers with faster swing speeds. I plan on keeping G430 Max 10K for a very long time. The performance and forgiveness make those turbulators look fantastic!
I got Xmas money, bought a used G410 from GC4C, then returned it a few days later, when there was a 15% off deal, and got a G430 LST in the sale for an extra £55.
Yes this is one thing that has put me off about paying drivers is those damn turbulators I just cannot look down at that for some reason how to make it just catches my eye
Have a 430 max and have a G400. 430 max is a better forgiving driver for me but still use the 400 in my second set of clubs in Florida. It works fine for me as well.
the thing is , is $600+ ( for a new driver) worth a few extra yards? and then having to play that piece of equipment for several years to get to the comfort level you are now is kind of crazy. I retired 2 years ago (64 yo now moved to senior tees 2 yeas ago )and for my retirement present i got a 14 club fitting with PXG 0211 XCOR , love the clubs but i am having a hell of a time building confidence in these power bats as i am used to forged cavity back irons , i gave my old set away thinking i would never use them after playing them for 15 years. So is a few extra yards really worth it ? and i get so tired of these reviewers saying they are getting so much more distance is pure BS
My fitter put me in the standard max 430 , as he had more options to fit around me. No really distance gains either and very happy with it 52% of fairways hit enough said
I'll make a prediction; both you and Robbo will change drivers next season as all you tubers tend to do even though they all talk up the second hand market, last season's model and cheaper brand new options.
Turbulators are horrible. I've avoided ping drivers due to them. I've got a ping 5 wood and 4 hybrid and would consider the driver if they hot rid of them.
@andybt3989 nope and I won't. I cant get over the turbulators. Very off-putting. But yes they are probably good as the t wood and hybrid I have are excellent 👌

Then stop playing the senior tees and move back.
@@terrypeeples1942Great idea! Happy New Year!

G400 LS was the best driver I have ever owned, still regret getting rid of it.
10k user since the week it released and not looking back! So forgiving with high launch and low spin…yes please.

Well done Chris 👏 😊

not tried any of these new ones, I'm still playing the Ping I15 driver, 3 wood and 5 wood
Just love their straight fairway finderness

I have a g430 10k Max love it.
same- i typically buy a new driver every year- this will be the first time in a long time im keeping my current driver..

I bought this model during Black Friday sales at GCFC, traded my F7, got it for £93.00. I felt like the police should have been called.
I don't even see them when I set up. I have never used the alignment aids on clubs. Sounds never effect me. Yeah Ping, I love their clubs.
For draw bias best isn’t 10k but sft. Turbulators work for me
I've got a g430 lst with a ventus blue in it, it'll take a lot to get me to part with it 😂
I have a Ping I 25 Driver then I moved to the Ping for 425max. I love it. I am now in the 430 LST max but I still love my ping I 25
IMO the G430 LST is a better driver than the G400, 71 years young, 10 Handicap ......

Love my G430 LST, 10K head is just to big for my eye
One of the main reasons I’ve never gamed ping the turbulators and sound of them always put me off
Performance overrides everything for me! Couldn’t care less about looks and sounds as they aren’t as important!
@@andybt3989 agreed andy
The ping G400 was close to 10k with a rating of 9.8
Just keep the same design and paint it a different color. You really can’t improve much since these things came out in the modern style.
I don't want a G400 or a review of old tech, must've misunderstood the title.....or should we be buying a G400 in 2025?
Loose the turbs.
Lol. This ping driver isnt much different than the last one

Have you actually swung one? That’s what counts! Not aesthetics!
