I really like maiden but it's good to get new solo material from Bruce. There is something special about each solo record he did. Welcome home Bruce, it's been too long, we've missed you Welcome home
I'm convinced both Bruce's solo career and Maiden songs are filled to the brim with VdGG references. "Whatever would Robert have said to his God" in Brighter than a thousand suns has to be a Peter Hammill reference.
Love you Bruce from Mauritius, you are an inspiration🖤 One of my goals is to see you this year which is quite difficult for me living on an island far from everything but I am doing my best.
I saw a vid several years ago where Maiden was playing a concert (might have been outdoors) and before they went into a tune, Bruce cited the first lines - like stating them aloud, poetry-style - of Van der Graaf's "Plague of Lighthouse Keepers " and then said "Thank you Peter Hammill" before launching into a Maiden epic. Has anyone else seen this? I havent seen it since but have looked.
I have long regretted missing my opportunity to by a copy of his book from a shop back in the 80's. The chances of finding a mint copy of ''The Adventures of Lord Iffy Boatrace'' is vanishingly small now
Definitely, this is the first person I thought. He is epic, I love writing myself, dark stories but more like in French but Dani is a great inspiration.
Bruce Dickinson's inspirations are Peter Hammil, Alice Cooper, Screaming J. Hawkins, Arthur Brown and Ian Anderson. For me, the best part of Bruce comes from this field of influence. Bruce's other two influences in the field of technique and range, Ian Gillan and Dio, are secondary. If Bruce loses his voice range he will still be one of the best vocalists alive.

Welcome home
Not only is this great to watch but what makes so much better is that it's actually an in person interview
Brucie telling stories about telling stories and the people who tell them. Lovely.
What a fascinating guy is Bruce. Wish I had a tenth of his energy and imagination. I don’t and he’s got 10 years on me 👍
I am so glad to live in a world where Bruce Dickinson is a fan of Van Der Graaf Generator.
Us too. What's your favorite VDGG album?
@@LoudwireMusic I gotta go with Pawn Hearts, but Godbluff is definitely up there
Incredible band, you had to be really into prog to get them

When TF does Loudwire play Iron Maiden on the radio show???
Sonata is 25 years old? 😮
Just wait til you hear it!
Interviews Bruce from Iron Maiden whilst wearing a Motorhead T/shirt.
Relax we/they are all rockers.
@@MrDantres are you using pronouns ???
@BrianM0OAB yes, for those guys in the video, as in 3rd person plural, it's something called 'grammar'! 🤦♂️
@@MrDantres Then it would simply be They.
@@BrianM0OAB I was also talking about us, the viewers. You're a bit slow aren't you? 🤦♂️🤣
very close to Bruce, but not quite yet
Yes.
I need this.
There will be even more to come! 😁
I didn’t like the first two singles :( I hope the rest of the album will be better.
It is (although After Glow of Ragnarok is great imo)
Bruce is looking a lot like Muammar Gaddafi these days.
Kenneth Cranham.
What's happened to his teeth? He's talking with a lisp
Brexit boy, having screwed over young British musicians. He must be laughing whilst counting his money.
he needs to brush more often
hopefully he doesn't breathe to hard on anyone
English teeth.
