This song and this band speaks to that place I try to keep locked away and it makes that place ok to remember. The positivity and light has consumed every aspect of my life. I just finished my midterm of my first class in 18 years and I aced my test. 100%, got my grade back tonight. This song changed my life.

It's funny, when Avril Lavigne first showed up and still had that youthful "she's got unrealized potential" kinda sound to her... Taylor sounds a lot like what I was hoping she'd become. They have a similar sort of rasp and vocal patterns, Taylor's just far more talented and has much better material to work with.
Avril's way more talented. She wrote all of her songs, her singing live is awesome, she's really creative, she got a record deal by singing a simple song when she was 16, she hadn't been on TV before or anything like that.
Helaman Souza Taylor also writes her songs, with the help of Ben Phillips, which is also a member of the BAND, so they write their own music, also, Taylor is by far more coherent, Avril makes more radio friendly and generic music.
