Hello Crystal and everyone.. Shirley from England here 🏴 🇬🇧 decided at last to make this shawl.. I saw it a while ago and fell in love with it but I was tied up with other projects at the time, but forwarded it to my eldest daughter who LOVES to crochet and lives over there in Pittsburg. She loved it too and has made 2 so far. I started yesterday and it’s a joy to make. So if anyone out there is undecided as to whether it’s difficult to make, don’t worry… Crystal’s got you.. she makes everything easy to understand. I’m making mine as part of a load of things for my Christmas fund raiser for my local independent greyhound rescue centre as they rely solely on donations by kind people. There are several of Crystal’s patterns I shall make over the next 9 months… so looking forward to each pattern xxx
Oh well I love dragonflies in fact when I was 80 years old I got a dragonfly tattoo. And now you have showed me a dragonfly crochet article I am so happy. I will have to watch you later cuz I have to go out. Thank you so much Crystal God bless you and take care
Thank you for your patience. I agree with everyone that says that you are the best teacher, reassuring us at just the right time 😅. I started crocheting as therapy for my depression and anxiety disorder and you're the only teacher so far that keeps me feeling calm and relaxed 😌. Thank you so much. It means more than you can imagine.
My elderly aunt just told me she has breast cancer and will refuse treatment which I will support. At her request, I am making this for her to comfort her on her remaining journey. She wants to then leave it for her daughter. Thank you for giving me something to put my love into for her to enjoy now and my cousin to cherish in time.
my grandmother just got diagnosed with with stage 2 lung cancer . she refused at first and will now try for treatment. im making this for her because i want her to know how much i love her . and hope this will let her know 🩷. prayers to you and your family
You are by far the best teacher of crochet. I especially appreciate not only your verbal instructions, but how you point and often stick your finger into the space where a stitch goes. It's so helpful. 🤩
Thank you for making new products so easily approachable. It lovely to see the beautiful pricey yarns ypu use, but hear you tell assurance that "your yarn and your budget" can still make these projects! Thank you for being so you! 💚
Thank you so much crystal. I love dragonflies and collect them. In fact I have dragonflies all over my house. Yours is the first pattern I have been able to follow. You are such an awesome teacher.❤
Crystal you are the BEST crochet teacher! Thank you for all you do. Time and again I go searching for patterns for a particular project and always end up on your page. This time it’s the Dragonfly Shawl. Sincerely Kathy from Boston
Extremely easy to follow tutorial with clear, precise instructions! The encouragement throughout the video added a lot too. I just started the moment I found this video because the pattern's just so pretty, and it really was easy to get started! Only took a couple hours and a couple counting redos to get the hang of it, I'll definitely be able to finish this faster than I'd think. Definitely got a new sub here!!! You've earned that 1 mil subs for sure
Love the look of this and need to try it. I have a pattern for a shawl that has butterflies that a friend gave me that I have done several of. I also love dragonflies.
Been wanting to make this for months. Got the yarn the other day. Got started on it. I'm falling asleep, so I wrote down where I am and will get back to it tomorrow evening. 😊
I’m watching the video all the way through while sitting on the fishing dock of a lake. I’m heading home in a couple of days. I think I can do it. I already bought a beautiful sparkling yarn for this. Anxious to get started.
Absolutely love this pattern, thank you so much for this, I'm currently making myself this shawl in navy blue for my niece-in-laws wedding and it's looking amazing, once you get started you might find that you can do this pattern without following it, and it would look amazing as a border on a blanket, looking forward to that, your channel is amazing 💛
Thank you Crystal. Hoping i have enough 3 to do this. I definitely finally see the difference yarn and hook size can make ! This is beautiful. God bless you!❤
I don’t usually comment on videos but you make patterns so easy to follow. I can’t read patterns and I can make your projects. I crochet shawls and lapghans for our local hospital.. Thank you so much for making this so easy!!! You are wonderful at teaching and making projects so understandable…I had cancer last year and just had a heart attack so Ive been grounded for awhile and crocheting is my escape!!!❤❤❤
Crystal!!! You really out did yourself this time!! I gasped when I saw this. I'm an okay crocheter and I can't wait to give this a go. I'm making this in honor of my grandmother who loved dragonflies. Thank you
I am halfway through making this in a blue-green colour change silky yarn and it looks amazing. The tutorial and written instructions are fab and I just wanted to say a huge thank you Crystal for helping me make my favourite crocheted item so far. I desperately wanted to make this as soon as I saw your video but honestly thought it would be too complex for me. I absolutely love how it's looking, have enjoyed making it and can't wait to show it off when it's finished 😊 Thank you for your excellent tutorials Crystal ❤ (from across The Pond 👍)
This is so lovely. Thank you!! I lost my sister very suddenly last May and she comes to me as dragonflies. We both love crochet and I've been looking for something to make in her honor. This is so very perfect. Thanks again!
Thank you! This is a super simple design (I tend to lose count of stitches when it's more complex lol) and it turned out so pretty! I'm going to use this pattern to make rectangular ones as blankets to donate!
Another one to add to my list to make. Watching this looks like yoir making granny style blanket and magically the dragon fly starts appearing.😊 Thank you for the tutorial.
I will be making this for my friend who loves Dragonflies! Her favorite color is green so have to find the perfect color! So Beautiful! God Bless. Take care. Love you. 😇🙏♥️
I think this would look beautiful as a poncho too like all your other shawls too you are a miracle worker and we love you and your family too thank you Crystal 😘 xxxx
Loving this tutorial. It looked difficult at first, but once I did a few rows I fall in love. Its a beautiful pattern. I can't wait to finish it. Thanks again Crystal. Happy Crocheting
Oh wow this is a stunner! I have a Hobbii yarn cake which I will use for this pattern and make it for myself for Easter, my fingers are itching to get started on this……Thank you Crystal for another amazing project xx.
Thank you! I love this shawl. I've crocheted along with scrap yarn and am loving how it's turning out. I'm waiting until I can buy some of that untwisted yarn because it looks so good, and I'll have a go at making it proper. Thanks again :)
❤❤Thank you for this tutorial! Anyone can do this just like you said. Can’t wait to make it. Thank you for teaching me how to crochet & gain confidence. ❤❤
Absolutely gorgeous shawl, I love the dragonfly. It's next on my project list. Thank you, Crystal, for all your hard work and great tutorials. You are an amazing person and wonderful teacher.
I love this shawl. I saw your sample swatch and was trying to figure out what to make with it. My sister loves dragonflies so I will make it for her. I already picked up the yarn. Thank you so much for your patience and great teaching. ❤
So excited to make this one. Thank you for all you do. You are so very much appreciated. I would still be sitting in the middle of a giant stash I never used with 100 WIP's and no FO's if it was not for you. Thank you thank you thank you!
I’m watching your tutorial and at the same time I’m checking all my yarn cakes ( the ones that are big enough) trying to decide what color way I want……. I can’t decide so I’m probably going to make more than one using springtime and summer colors. This is such a pretty design! Thank you Crystal 🤩
I’m making this for my sister. She will love it! You’re a great teacher. I’m a beginner and slow. I did learn these stitches before attempting this pattern. I’m just slow 😊 for now.
Thank you very much for this! I already made one and started another. Also, based on this pattern, I created one with dog paws, so to say: you opened my brain for some magic :) ✨
Already working on this. Thanks so much I decided to use mandala yarn in the color Groot. I'm loving how it's turning out already. ❤thanks Crystal for another amazing tutorial!
I'm watching this as I make a half double crochet blanket. I almost put a puff in my work! Ha! I think my next project will be the dragonfly shawl for my future daughter in law, she'll love it.
I love all the encouragement you offer. As soon as I can . . . I do believe I'm gonna try to make this. Thank you so much for sharing these incredible videos!
Making this for my soon to be sister in law. She always crochets the most beautiful items and I wanted to make her something special for her special day
Usually I just watch your yarn hauls but I wanted something cute for a market I'm doing next month and I thought about checking out some of your tutorials. I am following you right to the stitch, your pace matches mine perfectly! Most tutorials are either way too fast or way too slow. And this is really cute too!
Just finished making this into a bandana in dragonfly green 😊 Thanks for the tutorial ❤ followed right along with you and your instructions made it easy to just stop where I needed. Now just to block and wear this beautiful piece!
Love this idea, if I can't figure out the repeat rows beyond the tutorial that may be my only option, but I bought enough beautiful Merino & mulberry silk yarn to make this shawl ig would break my heart to not be able to finish it!
Started this today. Thank you so much for doing a lot of rows to help with the repeat pattern and including written below. I am making this for my adult daughter for her bday this month. Excellent job teaching this. I am doing it and I'm not frustrated ..I love it!
Omg for weeks i was trying to find a video to make this pattern in a triangular shape!! Couldnt find anything so made a rectangular one. Im gonna unravel the whole thing and start over 😅

I make lots of things to raise money for retired Greyhounds and this beautiful shawl of yours is going to be my next project. I even have the yarn for it already ❣️it’s a James Brett yarn with wool and alpaca in it and it’s just up your street because it’s sooo soft. It’s a fading/blending yarn of red and fawn… can’t wait to get started xxx 🧶 xxx

I love this shawl and I think it would look great in a varigated yarn, too, because it's the holes of the dragonfly that are the main focus.
