Good place to start while you save! Never be afraid to start with something much older and less expensive if it’s all you have.

Can you tell me how well the TTL function works on a Godox flash when it is mounted on your sony? I currently use a Yongnuo flash (third-party) with my Canon 80D and a Godox V860iii (also third-party) with my Sony ZVE10. When I set my Canon to Auto Plus mode, where I am unable to change any camera or flash settings, it works perfectly. The exposure is evenly balanced and well-lit, even when I take the shot straight away. However, when I use my ZVE10 (or FX3) in its Auto Mode, it always overexposes the shot because it is not compensating for the flash. Even when I manually adjust the flash to -1, the lighting is still not perfectly balanced like it is on the Canon. My question is, can you take a photo in a pinch and feel it would be good enough to send to a client without you style of editing added to it, because I can't. I could with the Canon

My first question would be, what mode are you using with your Godox? Are you using TTL? And is your Godox Flash for Sony cameras?
I don't have a lot of experience using Auto modes on cameras. But I'd guess you are either not shooting in TTL mode on your flash, or you need to go into your Sony's settings and ensure your flash exposure compensation settings are set to "Ambient & Flash".
Check it out and let me know if it fixes your issue. Sorry fo the delay btw.

I'm trying to decide between Canon 6d vs Canon M50 mirrorless. I also want be able to create video content.

Between these two keep in mind the 6D is full frame and the canon m50 is an APSC camera. The M50 is probably the better option though for video content and it can also shoot 4k video if you wish. Lenses will also be cheaper. If you go with the M50 Mark II.

@@mycreatorquest If video has the higher priority, I agree go with the M50 mkII. However, the M50 MKII doesn't allow using manual on camera flash because the center contact is missing.
