great content. keep up the good videos your helping a lot of owner ops fix there own truck and not get taken for a ride by these shop dealers that just throw parts at your truck until they find the right one while charging you 90-175 an hour and taking a week to do that. what do think about buying a maxforce from an auction for like 8-10 grand then deleting it right away? thanks.
Out of curiosity... why did you not replace the receiver drier? It’s a must every time you open up the system. Personally, I’ve found it faster to just open the hood. Remove the nut holding the a/c lines into condenser, remove the condenser nuts by simply leaning in and loosening them. Then pull condenser off. Install new one and tighten down. From there, r&r receiver drier and install the new a/c o-rings. Tighten.
Curious, why does it have to be replaced? We recently replaced ours, had that replaced too but why does it have to be replaced? Im only looking again because they said if we had pinched a line we would be fine but idk and the new one already has a leak
Hello I have a freightliner Cascadia has no cold air in front but has cold air in rear , I did replaced EXPANSIVE VALVE on the front side, recharge the freon , but it did not change anything , front still has no cold air, and rear has really cold air . Do you think the new EXPANSIVE VALVE is not working or maybe something else cause front AC NOT cooling at all ?If you have time please let me know I appreciate , thank you
you could’ve add oil in the ac condenser and avoid taking out those hoses from the Ac compressor, and i don’t know if you install new gaskets on those hoses? anyway this video is still helpfull
if they put new freon i think its better if you put some oil to lubricate the compressor, you can still add some oil , at autozone they sale something like this www.google.com/search?q=ac+compressor+oil&prmd=sivn&sxsrf=ALeKk01veGNsjjNR1U-fKrtaQWdc90_Amg:1588614113254&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwju9p7f4JrpAhUMGKwKHW1VDiQQ_AUoAnoECA0QAg&biw=412&bih=678&dpr=2.63#imgrc=_xZMxzfnUOvV3M
I bought an aftermarket condenser...but didn't come with the bolt in the moddle of the two hose connector...the one you said it's a 10mm...what size bolt and where can i find it. Called freightliner but don't know part # or anything??? Can you help please.
Placing that freon can upsidedown to charge the system with liquid freon goes totally against my knowledge. But I am not a professional, might be wrong. Everybody was saying that if liquid gets in compressor - it will get damaged.
That’s not true. Try sucking out air from a glass bottle like a beer or soda glass bottle. You cannot pull out the liquid that way. Besides, (some) new A/C compressors come with oil inside. They wouldn’t add it if it meant the oil would be sucked out in a vacuum. When you vacuum the compressor, you probably want the vacuum lines to be placed higher than the compressor to prevent any oil from flowing out due to gravity (not vacuum, of course).
@@thereviewer4173 actually that is not true ether. We all know that water boils (evaporates) at lower temps in lower pressures. So by pulling vacuum we reducing pressure well below the boiling point so all water will boil (evaporate) and get sucked out in vacuum pump. Now I don't know about oils boiling points - must have not. By sucking on a bottle of beer you just can not reduce the pressure low enough for beer to evaporate. Try connecting it to your vacuum pump - that's gonna be interesting to see 😅
To just started watching your videos bruv! Damn you are dropping knowledge! Keep it up bruv 👍
i appreciate it, thanks for watching sir 🙏
Nice video just changed my condensor and dryer on my own, just had the TA charge it. Save alot of money. Thanks for the video. 👍
Thanks for watching sir 🙏

Very good job thanks
thank you sir
Where's the link for the aftermarket part?
Thank you 👍🏻👍🏻
You guys have experience with of the market replacing parts webs ?Ty
You always make a very detailed video. Thank you so much . Do you have to remove the hood or just the grill
Just the grill to make it easier, you can install it without taking the grill off,, thank you for watching sir 🙏
Good video thanks

I been working in shops for 15 years and I haven’t seen an A/C system being charged that way in a long time, one A/C machine will do all that....

anyway this video is still helpfull
Usually a good idea to replace those seals...they are the weak link of the system
I thought you need special ultra synthetic Freon only for Freightliner?
What year truck?
Do you have to have the oil? I just changed my condenser and they didnot put oil in the system
if they put new freon i think its better if you put some oil to lubricate the compressor, you can still add some oil , at autozone they sale something like this

You can remove the bolts (stud) from the old condenser ,
Yeah it broke and just put some other bolt 🔩 with silicone. I guessed messed up the thread.
What web did u use?ty
why are you open low side and high side on when you put freon in i thought you support to close the high side only freon in low side
The official instructions say to charge the system on the high side for both the Freightliner Cascadia and even the Thermo King APU.
Were is your shop located brah? How much you charge to do this?
Sorry i dont have a shop , i just work on my truck and mKe videos,
@@TRUCKINGTIPSDIY what’s the name of the tool you used to take off the lines from the condenser?
So I have to buy a 700 $ tool to charge my Freon ? Good thing to see how the mechanics do it but I think is chipper to let the mechanic do it
Depending on how many trucks you have on the long run ot make sense
Placing that freon can upsidedown to charge the system with liquid freon goes totally against my knowledge. But I am not a professional, might be wrong. Everybody was saying that if liquid gets in compressor - it will get damaged.
I know for residential, my old boss did that.. 30 years of hvac so I figure he knows a thing or two. Hasn't steered wrong.... Yet, lol 😆..
Hey buddy use a person to hold camera I would be better
snap-on made in u.s.a. là ok
75% of snap on tools are made outside of the usa these days. Only hand tools are usa. So no longer snap on is usa
You are vacuuming all the oil you put in
That’s not true. Try sucking out air from a glass bottle like a beer or soda glass bottle. You cannot pull out the liquid that way. Besides, (some) new A/C compressors come with oil inside. They wouldn’t add it if it meant the oil would be sucked out in a vacuum.
