It was you who inspired me to make this video!! I remember watching your favourite films video aaaages ago and I loved it. I went back and rewatched it last night after I uploaded this and was like 'omg we have like the same movies on our lists' hahahah

now i know why you are my fav youtuber. Both "500 days of summer" and "Her" are my go-to all the time.I don't know if you've watched it or not,but i would like to recommend you 'The guernsey literary and potato peel society' and 'Letters to Juliet' maybe? :)
Thanks for sharing your honest favorites. Keep doing what you are doing. If I got to pick my top 5 of all time it would be 1. Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) 2. Knives Out (2019) 3. The LEGO Movie (2014) 4. Inherent Vice (2014) 5. Man with a Movie Camera (1929)
i absolutely adore how closely this is shot, so much so i can literally see the emotions playing on your skin ahhh idk i love how raw this looks :)) loved the video tho! def watching most of these :)
I love love loved this video! We definitely have the same taste in films! Juno has been one of my favourite films since I first saw it when I was about 15 :) Howl's Moving Castle is my favourite Studio Ghibli film, followed very closely by Spirited Away. And Perks of being a wallflower is my all time favourite book, the film is lovely too! I've also been thinking that I need to rewatch 500 days of summer, so this video had perfect timing. It was so lovely listening to you talk about all your favourite films, kind of made me want to make a video about mine too. Even though I haven't made a video in a veeeerryy long time!
It’s crazy how similar our taste is-I’m gonna go see your name and her right now because they’re the only ones on the list I haven’t seen and loved. (++someone else loves 500 Days of Summer as much as I do! Such a melancholy, mature, and understanding look at relationships).
I love how long this video was! I’ve seen many of these, but I also have some that I really need to get to. Oh my goodness, I adore The Perks of Being a Wallflower! The Come on Eileen scene is one of my favorites! Also, Dead Poets Society is amazing!
I'm so relieved to hear that! I was worried that the video was way too long hahaha. And yessss Perks and Dead Poet Society are brilliant, brilliant movies! (especially, the Come On Eileen scene~) 😊
Hi ! i really like your taste! Especially, the Perks of being the wallflower!! I watched it again and again and I also read the book :) i also like they way you speak and edit this video❤︎
I have seen all of your choices, except for that anime one you mention after Howl's Moving Castle (couldn't catch the name), The Grand Budapest Hotel and a few of the Disney films. My favorites are probably Her, it was an interesting look at loneliness and the main character's attachment to the O.S.is surprisingly poignant and LaLa Land, it was a great romance and musical film, you really root for the characters in it, and I agree the ending makes the film.
Thank you for sharing your favorite films! There were a few on that list that I always wanted to watch but haven't gotten around to watching yet, especially Pan's Labyrinth I have heard great things about but never felt in the mood for it. I 'll make sure to watch that one soon!
I’m in the minority in that I don’t quite understand the appeal of The Grand Budapest Hotel. I’m a Wes Anderson fan, but I have no desire to see this one a second time. Moonrise Kingdom and The Royal Tenenbaums, on the other hand, are movies I’ve seen a half-dozen times apiece. Maybe I need to let enough years pass and only then give it another shot?
You have quite a good variety of films on this list! Of what you have on your favorites list, I also have Girl, Interrupted, Ratatouille, and The Perks of Being A Wallflower on my favorites list. You name some that I really need to rewatch, though, because I think I was too young when I saw them and I would better appreciate them now. I also love Wes Anderson, but my favorite is The Royal Tenenbaums. My favorite film is called Plein Soleil (also known as Purple Noon). It's a French film from 1960. A lot of my favorite movies are from the 1960s or French ... or both! Other favorite films of mine that I think you would also like are: Psycho (1960), Breakfast At Tiffany's (1961), Seeking A Friend for the End of the World (2012), The Way Way Back (2013), I Heart Huckabees (2004), Les Desmoiselles de Rochefort (The Young Girls of Rochefort) (1967), Ex Machina (2014), and Mulholland Dr. (2001). At least that's what I'm going to list right now. I have a lot more favorites, but these are ones I think you should check out if you haven't before, based on the films you mention here. Also, because I don't know your taste all too well I didn't want to over do it. (Sorry there's not an explanation of any of the films I listed.)
I love your taste in films, my favourite movie of all time is Perks of Being a Wallflower and the books means so much for me. The characters and what goes on in Charlies head.
Have you heard of Spirit of the Beehive? It heavily influenced Guillermo Del Toro's Spanish Civil War films and is set in the same period. It is about children watching the movie Frankenstein and the affect it has on them as the war reaches out and touches them in a personal way. It is slow moving but the ending features an appearance by Frankenstein's Monster... and it is very moving.
Have you ever seen "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" it involves Heath Ledgers last unfinished role but its very beautiful and dreamlike. It makes its own world through a mirror in a travelling theatre group.
I would recommend Gattaca, Ex machina, the Talented Mr Ripley, Submarine, Revolutionary Road, The young girls of Rochefort, Before Sunrise, A Single Man, and Blue Valentine :)
Ooh I watched Gattaca in High School. It's a really good film! 😊 and omg Submarine is the best. Not only because I love Richard Ayoade, but also I'm a massive Alex Turner fan ~ Thank you for the recommendations 😊

Based on your list, you've got to include at least one film from Stanley Kubrick or Ridley Scott. I agree with your choice of The Third Man. A masterpiece of cinema; perfect writing, editing, casting, acting, music, camerawork, everything.
