I just turned 46 and awfully late to investing with barely any portfolio except my 401k, I have a decent amount of cash saved up and with inflation currently soaring AGAIN, I’m getting worried about retirement, my intention is to retire at 55. How best do I maximize my savings of over $500k
Retirement is now more difficult than it was in the past. it's all about balancing your risk tolerance with your long-term goals. Maybe consider speaking to an advisor to help in diversifying your portfolio to spread out the risk.
Many people often underestimate the effectiveness of a financial adviser in planning for retirement. Over the past 5 years, my FA has consistently restructured and diversified my portfolio and expenses, resulting in over $1 million in gains. While it might not seem like a huge amount, retirement now feels within reach.
There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Judith Lynn Staufer” for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look her up.
Interviewer asks very basic questions about mutual fund and other funds which very well can be found on internet, their perspective about finances would be of more help
Looking at past performance ia not identical to looking at rear view mirror while driving. It may be punch story which unfortunately used by fund managers and promoters to suit to their arguments. But in practice we can't afford not to evaluate past performance in addition to looking at other attributes in selecting a Fund. Just think the same fund managers or promoters speak loud about credit rating of their underwriting Assets in the funds they want promote. Credit rating is given on past performance by the Rating Agencies and there have been incidents in the past wherein a Tripple A (AAA) rated security has been brought down Overnight to D grade, which is highly risky and no fresh investor will go to.

Hello, I'm interested in trying this out. Who is your FA, I'm gasping for breath. Have been doing things myself but it's clearly not working

Thank you for the lead. I searched her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
