Genuinely, thank you for all the effort you put into Thursday posts! And those weeks where there are lots of panels are extra special (like this week). I can imagine you might occasionally question the 'return' on the time spent on them. Add one very happy person to the pile (which I suspect is a fairly big pile of beings).

I think the handwritten is more engaging and easier to read! And now it’s your signature style.

I’ve read that writing by hand engages different neuron circuits than typing. Anything that engages any part of my brain in a new or different way is a good thing after chunks of it were destroyed by chemo, so I hand write and draw in my journals - even if I can’t read my own writing later sometimes. I have Procreate and I find it very frustrating and it never occurred to me to try handwriting with it so that’s something new to try. I agree with the “love the sharing of the process” comments!

Been reading your stuff for years.
I hereby apologize for assuming your handwriting was just some font you’d selected and were typing out.
    Keep up the great content.
Looking forward to your new book too!

Love this kind of ‘behind the artist’ stuff. Are you lowkey becoming a UA-cam-er?

The first writing I was ever paid for was independent comic books. And as cool as it was seeing scripts illustrated, lettering brought it all together. I'm still friends with some letterers after almost 35 years, and I always appreciate and love your lettered bits on Instagram and Outside.

Thanks for sharing your process, good stuff! Handwritten triggers a different part of the brain, I've heard. The same reason I still draw my animations starting with pencil and paper.

Why don't you create a font of your hand writing?
