Arthur Lauga Yes, Rory too! I learned of him as a young teen girl in the mid 70s & adored him instantly, he's amazing! Everyone thought I was crazy, or lying, or made him up. No girls in US knew of him or liked him where I lived, lol. My Dad is a very talented guitarist since he was very young. I know talent & heart when I hear it ☺👍
That sound certainly did influence Marty Stuart he has collected several of Luther Perkins' guitars I understand although the one he is playing was Clarence White's. He is the consummate showman, I guess that is to be expected from someone who started his career at 13 working for Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs on the road. Can you imagine a 7th grader going on the road with a big time group, that is an education you can't get in school.
Rockabilly is that intersection where rock n rollers don't feel they're out of their element and bumpkins don't think they're out of theirs. It's this perfect alchemy of attitude and expression.
delelmtdmr - Both Marty and Ricky came up about the same time as child prodigies. Both played with some of the greats as small kids. Believe me, it was a term of endearment - they've both been there.
Just saw Setzer and his orchestra 2 nights ago. I always thought he was an incredible player and that show just confirmed it. |He is a one of a kind genius. No one does what he does. A true artist.
I especially loved this version of “I Walk The Line”. So sweet! I’m not gonna lie though about the beginning part, the boys were trying to hit the low note, LOL
Simply, there are no words to express how a great performer Brian Setzer is. This guy has such a talent to compose, write and sing all kind of music. He is simply GREAT!!!
@@keithclark486 bc they never get their respect in the rest of the music industry, if you ask who is the best guitarist they say jimmy Hendrix. But in my opinion Setzer is the best guitarist. But Chet aitkins is also an incredible guitarist who has never get the respect he deserves.

Ever since Elvis stopped making music there hasn`t been anybody doin it as good as him, but boy does Brian gets kinda close, tho :-) Man, he`s good!!!!
Brian's solo performance of Sleepwalk on this episode was beyond words. Unfortunately some asshat felt the need to take it down as copyright violation even though NO one has this for sale. WHY would you go out of your way to destroy a historical recording when there is no financial interest for you to do so?

Ricky, Marty and Brian, they own their own careers. I love how they respect their elder musicians. Love this stuff.
Three great legends respected by their peers. All three are humble and underrated. Maybe those are the two elements that make them great.👍👍
Simply, there are no words to express how a great performer Brian Setzer is. This guy has such a talent to compose, write and sing all kind of music. He is simply GREAT!!!
