My freshman year in HS my dad made a deal with me that if I threw a shutout, he’d buy me 2k11. 1st game of the season, shoved a shutout on the bump. Bought me that it that night. Miss being a kid. 😢
I was 11 when this game came out and preferred 2K Baseball over The Show at the time because 2K had a more fun and casual/arcade feel to it. I Wish 2K baseball could make a comeback someday.
Sports games are for the whales and too clunky. Unreal to have made up legacy teams without a filter and no direct access to negro league/world baseball classic teams in mlb the show 23. Older stuff didn't try to make you buy extra stuff or gamble as well as they worked harder on animations. All pro football 2k8 was a great idea that the show could have learned how to be intuitive with older teams and rosters. Soundtracks can vary sometimes but I liked Ken Griffey Jr on N64. Great game and music. Power pros is a fun arcade baseball game for $1 on switch btw. No licensed teams though.
