  • This video shows you how to lift intake manifold enough to get to the spark plugs manifold gaskets and Exedra. This will not completely lift the intake manifold out of the engine bay

    Since you forgot to show us the 5 bolt locations in the back of the manifold I made a video yesterday showing their locations once you have the manifold lifted. =) Awesome video BTW it definitely helped me!

    Thank You for the Video.
    Decided to change spark plugs at 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse 3.0 L. Replaced just 3 in the front, with Iridium NGK spark plugs. Now I have an idea where 3 others are. I have 2 options. Go through this ordeal, or sell the car. I just bought a 2015 Subaru 2.5 Outback. I am happy, and it is very easy to take care. Changing all the fluids and spark plugs was a piece of cake. I got a lesson from Mitsubishi, and from my wife's 2014 Audi A4 B8, which refused to open gas tank gate, and without any prior warning refused to steer, displayed the massage steering system failure do not drive the car. Called a toy, and when toy car driver started the Audi the steering system was working again. Before buying a car make the homework, I learned this in the hard way.

    Thanks for the video bro. All I'm trying to do is the the spark plugs/wires/valve cover gaskets and I was having a lot of trouble trying to remove everything completely. I ran out of time today so I'm going to follow your vid and hopefully tomorrow I'll have some better luck.
    Thanks again.

    Hey Benjamin, great videos. Do you have one for removing the Cylinder Head? I was told I have a blown head gasket on my 2003, seeing it only has 108k miles I want to save it if I can versus spending the $3000 the shop quoted me for the repairs.
    If you don’t have any tips for removing the Cylinder Head and replacing the gasket can you point me in the right direction? I have not had luck finding a video on UA-cam for a G3 head gasket repair. Thanks!

    Can anybody share thoughts why I have misfiring or 1 or 3 cylinder or random misfire, each day when I test its different error show computer, or 1 or 3 cylinder or random misfire on gasoline fuel. But on LPG fuel everything perfect without misfiring!!! Is that means that potential problems in fuel injector 1 and 3 ? Cuz if problem be in something else then on LPG also be misfiring?

    Hi Benjamin. Great video. I like all of your vids. I recently took my 2005 Spyder 3.0L to a mechanic for timing belt and tune up. He had it one day and when I got it back it ran great. But my cruise control no longer works. It worked the day I dropped it off. Any ideas? There is some sort of connector hanging from beneath the dash to the right of the steering wheel and next to the OBD connector, but I can't find what it connects to.

    • @benjamingilmore
      @benjamingilmore  6 років тому

      Lawrence Kerr hmm I would diligently find that connection.Impossibly check the cruise control module thingy under the hood mine has a little hose that goes to it and if the hose is unhooked then it wont-work.

    • @benjamingilmore
      @benjamingilmore  6 років тому +1

      Robert Baratheon i used a wrench with the correct socket on it (I think 12mm) . And I had to really lean into it to break them loose the 1st time I took off the intake manifold. But they are not easy, just keep at it. Try using a box end wrench. When you get them off comment And share how you did it please.

    And to add insult to Shade tree mechanics one cover bolt is tucked in an inaccessible location BETWEEN a bracket and cover so no socket fits between them. Once it was out 1/8 of a turn at a time with a box ten, I cut a slot in the offending bolt with a cutoff wheel and used a screwdriver to tighten it. #$%@ %$# Itchybushi!!!
