We were on the Bliss just a few weeks before you. Agree that Cagney’s was a little disappointing as was Teppanyaki. We also found ourselves hanging out at the mojito bar a LOT. But the highlight of the ship was definitely Will at the Mixx Bar. He remembered everybody’s name and what they liked to drink. And of course Alaska was amazing - it’s been our best trip ever. Thanks for the great review, it reminded us how much we want to go back.
Thats not a review of an Alaskan cruise. Its a review of a ship. I just came back from bahamas on the Bliss and I know exactly what the ship offers, i really wanted to see what where and why was it great in relation to the Alaska... misleading title to say the least!
Sailed on this ship to Alaska in 2019 . the lounge is awsome on the front of the ship . so is the adult only bar at the back . loved the views in glacier bay . beautiful
I sailed in it in March in the Caribbean. I find I prefer the escape. We aren’t pool people and the addition of the racetrack and laser tag made it feel like there was less space. Especially on sail away. You could tell some deck space was missing.
Went on here about 3 weeks ago. It was fun but the ship can have some improvements. Go karts was amazing! Their gelatos are delicious. If you go to savor get the chicken pho with rice noodles if they have it! So much to do and Alaska and Canada were both amazing
So, other than this being a 7-day Mall-like look with some cool restaurants and the sports things, what was there to see OUTSIDE the walls of the ship? Was looking for a cruise that went by some glaciers and some wild life. Do those exist?
I agree why talk about a Alaska cruise without showing any of the Alaska scenery. I know it's the review of the ship but the scenery would be nice to see a little of.
I know this is quite late, but just got off the Alaska Cruise on the Bliss a week ago. Views were phenomenal. The mountain ranges were beautiful and we saw quite a bit of wildlife - including an enormous pod of Orcas seemingly hunting humpbacks! We went by a glacier that was an incredible view, as well (we saw this closer when we went whale watching in Juneau). All things considered, the views were my favorite part of this cruise and I'd 100% recommend it
@@peteharjes8960 thanks for the reply. would still like to do a cruise but really don't want to be stuck on a ship too long UNLESS it's an Alaskan cruise and there wouldn't be many places to get off and explore anyway. Rather see that wilderness from the boat I think . How cold was it?
We went on the Bliss October 2022. Loved the Free at Sea package. The only thing that was a bummer is the water drink package; Flow Water taste terrible. Might better off drinking swer water. The entertainment was excellent. Booking a 15 night panama cruise with her in November.
There are two classes of dining on a cruise ship...Specialty Dining and everything else. Specialty dining will be billed to the credit card you have to have on file when you embark. There is an additional charge. Aside from specialty dining...every other restaurant is free. Usually there is a buffet that has 4-5 seatings a day. All you can eat. There are usually multiple dining rooms that have a menu for you to order off of. Then there are the "grab and go" places that are like a food court in a mall. Room service (at least on Royal Caribbean) costs extra in most cases. As I recall, breakfast was free. Just as an aside, when you go on a cruise...you get some literature and at some point either in print or on the in-room TV, you will see the command staff of the ship. The Capitan, the cruise director, the food and beverage honcho, etc... Well, I got some spoiled milk on a cruise we took and I called to let them know to bring some more up. The head of the food and beverage dept was the guy who brought it up to me. This enormous Hungarian gentleman apologized and in a voice that sent chills down my spine he looked at me and said, "This won't ever happen again."
@@Eatsleepcruise1 yes I've never been to Alaska and we are going in August do you know if that's a good time to go and does the bliss have good restaurants excluding the buffet
Typically Norwegian will send you an email option to bid on an upgrade to balcony, suite, etc. Put your bid in and they may upgrade you depending on what price you offered, and how many people have bid more than you.
It's a program where you can place a bid for a potential room upgrade. There is a minimum bid, but you can place a bid for that or anything above. If your bid is accepted, your credit card will automatically be charged. We booked an inside room then placed a bid for a balcony, and the offer was accepted.
Would you sail on Norwegian Bliss to Alaska?
We are on the Jun 30-Jul 7 cruise
@@kennethfeld6639 Me too :D
Did it last June

Is the food included outside of specialty restaurants?
Yes. @@willywill74
Sailed on the Bliss recently in Mexico. If I have another NCL cruise like that one, I will never sail another NCL cruise!
Was on it when it first came out and wasn't overly impressed. It was OK, but won't be back.
Im be on this boat in September. It be my first cruise
Have a great trip. Are you sailing to Alaska?
Going on in a couple of months, is there a gym or a basketball hoop?

Thanks for the feedback. The Panama Cruise sounds amazing. Have a great cruise.
Are you allowed to use the water slides even on cold days? We really want to try them out!
My local casino just gave me a “free cruise” to Alaska via Norwegian. Is this worth it ?
Hey! I was on the same cruise and the same time!
Did they have haus en Feiffer?
Thanks for the great review. One question... Is this ship smokers friendly?
never sailed NCL. looking at bliss for Alaska
I was wondering if you knew the hours of the go-kart track. I’m going in October and trying to decide if I should get the pass.
We just booked an Alaska cruise on the
Bliss for 2026
My trip coming up. May 13

@@crisron3813 ya..our 3rd trip to Alaska
Our favorite CRUISE
What excursions would you recommend and would you book through NCL or book your own?
I don't understand. Do we have to purchase lunch and dinner?
Chipotle Carl no the buffets and certain restaurants are complementary but the specialty dining you would need to purchase

The Q bbq Restaurant I kinda didn't like They served us very small Portions of food I thought they would be more being a specialty restaurant

EatSleepCruise.com That sounds like it could be really cool. Are you guaranteed an offer to bid though? It just seems to good to be true
This isn't a cruise review
Not much information other than the ship...
You contradict yourself so much in this review video, it is hard to tell what you really thought
This upcharge garbage incentivizes families to just stay home
Looking forward to hearing about NCL JOY
