Good video mate, I still have my 1st cook pot set from 35 years ago I don't use it anymore as its made from aluminium but will never throw it away for sentimental reasons. I now use the stove system you used on the last test. Keep up the good work mate 👍
Camp art stove looks good. Built in wind shield. The other 2 wouldn'tt have faired so well in wind without a windshield If you put the burner on the tabs of the green stove the flames would have been closer to the pot. If you can get it in to the blue zone of the flame you don't get soot build-up. Great vid keep 'em coming.
I just added one of those Trangia copies to my cart on AliExpress, but I decided on the one with the round windscreen/potholder that has the square cutout in one side to access the flame regulator/ snuffer
Greetings from the Northern part of the State of Utah in the country formerly known as America! I use the “Spirit Burner” (Alcohol Burner) stoves a great deal. I’ve found a few things that tend to make them slightly more effective (which you may already know and do). First I use a “wind screen” around the stove, (helps to concentrate the heat), Second if the temperatures are a bit on the chilly or cold side I use a “Priming Pan” (a small pan that the stove sits in or on containing a very few {10-12} drops of alcohol) liting the Priming Pan at the same time as the stove allows the stove to bloom much quicker saving fuel. Take care , Bob StrongBear
Camp art cook set, pretty interesting. I’m surprised with the power of the internet that this is the first time I ever heard of it. Thanks for the video.
Tragia type burners have been around since the 1950's thanks for sharing I just bought a cooking system very similar to your Camp Art it's an Aloc it is larger and is anodized aluminum.
Nice stove from Camp Art. I knew about the aluminium pans but not about a mini Trangia look a like. I think about building such a system by myself. Then it is possible to use a wide variety of pans and not only the Trangia pans.
Great over view of these ultra reliable stoves. I still use my 10year old Trangia stove but now run it on bio ethonal which is way less Smokey than meths (around 20 quid for six ltrs) It fits great in the Lixada titanium wood burner and combined with my old OEX heat exchanger cook pot and a tin foil wind break ive got a boil time of around 3.5 minutes for 500 ml when bloomed. And of couse should I ever run out of fuel on a long hike ive still got a twig stove to fall back on
2:05 You _could_ use one plate as a ground barrier/priming pan to set your alcohol stove on. 7:20 Also, let's appreciate how _quiet_ our spirit burner is as it boils our water.
its always a battle between weight saving and utility. If I had to choose, it would be the pan the micro stove and a paper thin titanium windshield. about 15 quid off amazon. if more basecamp, then the full trangia set.
The meals are MRI or MRE? I’m in Germany and I can relate to the weather last days of sun and sadly starting to be colder every day you can imagine how I feel coming from California and Florida 😜👍

Love how you look after your gear.

I think I stand for all your viewers when I say, we definitely wouldn’t have an issue if you wanted to do more frequent videos ;)

Great video my friend, I like these stoves and have similar types to these. Used properly in any weather work well. 👍

Hi...
Sorry..
You have make the base and the windscreen for this alcohol stove???
Tiny and ultralight..!!
Cool video mate
Great video EP butwhen will we expect another wildcamp.
Handle is for a dampener heat so it hinges out to allow a low simmer

Saving this one for a brew after the final episode of Midnight Mass. Always great to see an upload from you.
U bend the tabs in on the new stove so it rest above the ground works much better too
I use those little "new" stoves all the time. They are great. but you need a wind guard with them. and it likely would have been faster.
No links where to buy ;(
Used an alcohol stove once on a cold wet stormy day in Ullapool. It couldn't even boil enough water for a cup of tea.
yeah well you need a windscreen when its windy
Have you thought about clearing an area to put stuff on to make it more stable,?
Pine needles are not flat
I do when I'm camping out longer.
I do love these Videos. I hope you are keeping well ☺️
So do you like the fuel tablets or alcohol stove better?
I prefer fuel tabs, those and the stove I use them with take up less space to pack and I don't have to worry about alcohol leaking in my pack.
What's the music in the outro it is epic!
It's Hackers by White Bat Audio.
Always soots up my pan bottoms. Even 99% proof

I have found out that hand cleanser, which are usually in next to face masks , in shops, make a good cooking fuel, in an emergency.
That's not a Trangia system. Burner yes. The rest no...
