That view of the sunrise on top , your whole experience, combined with the beautiful story telling in a jeremy Clarkson like voice, make this a brilliant thing to watch. Congrats for your achievement!
That’s very kind indeed! I love to share my experience as vividly as I can and honestly it’s nice to have the constant distraction of changing a GoPro battery whilst running for so long! Cheers again and tune in for the sabbatical walk next… followed by Finland!
The Lanky Explorer and DNF do not exist in the same sentence! So glad you started making these videos! Can’t wait for the next one! My guess for the building is the Slovenian branch of a Wetherspoons? 😂
Cheers Stephen! It was pretty close but the view massively made up for the effort! Not this time I’m afraid! If only there were mountain based Wetherspoons 🤔
i could have done that easily. in my car hehe. mad matt , awesome location and race, with all the elevations i can now understand how massive of a thing this is.
@@TheLankyExplorer remember when clarkson took the pug up a mountain on grand tour or topgear it made it mine wouldnt it would get stuck instantly too low hehe
So proud of you mate, cannot believe the views at the top!! I definitely would not have been appreciating every footstep at the end though... Did appreciate the bonus Ollie content also. Was the aid station located in the Slovenian version of the RNLI?
Yes! I was wearing Inov8 TrailFly Ultra G 300 Max and I’d say 270’s are great too. Suitable level of cushioning for trail and great grip. Personally love to use the Salomon quick lace kit with these too! Best of luck in your training - build gradually and explore your wonderful country!

Thanks mate! Really kind and honestly the beauty of the landscape offered so much mental energy. Loved it.
No quite… it was a fire station!
Great video, I’m tackling the 80k next week, did you wear trailflys? How was the great?

Some kind of fire station, as it had fire brigade uniform inside.???
Correct! Prostovoljno gasilsko društvo Podhom to be exact. We’ll have your prizes organised soon!
Woooo amazing news. 🙌
