The Ford. I've always been a fan of the Sierra Cosworth. It's my favourite fast family saloon car. When I was a little nipper, we had 5 Sierra's in the family. Not the Cosworths, but, some very nice standard Sierra's. A blue 1987 1.6 saloon, a silver 1986 1.8 hatchback, a red 1986 2.0 hatchback, a blue 1989 2.0 hatchback and a dark blue 1990 2.0 saloon. The dark blue one was my favourite. It was a lovely, dark blue, pepperpot alloys, grey cloth interior, dark tinted rear lights, H-registration, I loved it. The only thing that went wrong with it was the earth wire/lead/harness snapped and left us stranded in a petrol station. Thankfully, we had a spare part in the boot. I was gutted when we got rid of it and I've missed it ever since. Best car we ever had in the family. I last saw it in late 2006. I was on the coach on the way to a school music concert in Burry Port. It was parked opposite the dealership my Dad part-exchanged it for a white Skoda Octavia. Ever since, I've been constantly nagging "Can we have another Sierra?!", but, I've done my research and really good Sierra's go for about 3-4 grand. When I was little, you could pick them up for like 300-500 quid.
Good shout. Holden make fantastic fast saloon cars. I actually believe that fast Holden saloon cars (HSV's) are actually bettet than the BMW M5. They just look and sound so much cooler, they're more exciting, they're more fun and in my opinion, they're just better.
And Clarkson's time was 3:14 instead of 2:14. Their new producer didn't see one of those minutes, so he couldn't have it. Even though it was on television, the producer's ruling was final. (The show made this joke in reference to the England vs Germany game in the 2010 World Cup, where England's second goal was ruled not a goal because one of the referees didn't see it).

This was filmed in April 2010 just before that Icelandic volcano erupted and shut down European air travel. They couldn't get out of Germany by air so they had to drive back to the UK and it was difficult to get rental cars because of the huge demand.
I just came here after watching the Top Gear 2024 car awards (a disaster by the way)… and god, the difference between Top Gear now and what they used to be is devastating…

The old stories were so music oriented and these rescored versions just don't work the same.
