I learned about this problem from reading the book on how they built the Brooklyn Bridge. Workers building the foundations becoming seriously ill, a few died from lack of knowledge at time.
Pause. Full stop. They took him to Frisco first? Medical City Las Colinas, Baylor Irving, Baylor Grapevine, Texas Health Bedford, Texas Health Harris Methodist and you know all of the other big hospitals around and said naw let's drive him 30+ away depending on traffic even if you take the toll?
That is not that rule at all. It depends on your diving profiles in the last days and whatever your dive organization tells you. The scuba comedians from PADI recommend 24 hours (not to be liable for anything) but then refer to the DAN guidelines which allow you to fly 12 hours after a single non-deco dive. Non experienced divers might be tempted to choose the 12h version ... And did they say how long he waited? I didn't hear it. Btw: as a a little bit more experienced diver I do not dive 2 full days before the flight !
Actually you don't have to wait 24 hrs for repetitive fives the diving association recommends 18 hrs and for single dives they recommend 12 hours before going on a plane
Especially if it was his idea to be driven 30+ minutes to Frisco instead of going to any of the other hospitals near DFW Airport. If it had to be a Medical City the ones in Las Colinas and Arlington were FACTUALLY closer.
Bruh I’m not even a diver and I even know your supposed to wait at least 24-48 hours AFTER you go diving! Especially at a certain depth underwater 🤦🏻♂️ ROOKIE MOVE DUDE
I wander what they were considering a “deep dive”. Think in sport diving it’s only 100 feet. How long was it before he flew from diving I wander? 100’ (3ATMt) to 8k’ it’s a small miracle he didnt get an A.G.E.…… Didnt say whether or not they provided him O2 on the plane… Crazy story………….. 😬

Is he a certified diver? This is covered in detail in any entry level Scuba course.
He is god

Wow pressure really can mess you up.
yes its mindblowing
This story never specified whether he got in a plane knowing the risk or if he didn’t even know waiting 24 hours is a rule
