    Soy madrileño y vivo aquí desde hace 51 años. En España, y más en Madrid, en verano tomamos largas vacaciones para ir a la playa (o donde sea). Sólo los extranjeros querrían quedarse en julio y agosto en Madrid, nosotros sabemos que aquí hace demasiado calor y sabemos que hay que ir a la playa. Nos sorprende que no entendáis eso.
    Los barrios que dices son buenos para vivir desde el punto de vista de los extranjeros, porque queréis vivir como turistas eternamente.
    Para un madrileño hay muchos otros barrios mejores para vivir.
    Nosotros queremos barrios donde se pueda vivir en tranquilidad, ver el cielo y el Sol, ver árboles y oir a los pájaros,
    y donde los niños puedan jugar tranquilos y seguros.
    ¡Y mucho mejor si hay piscina!
    En Madrid tenemos Metro y muchos transportes, y no están ahí de adorno, son para usarlos. Si quieres ir al Centro o al Retiro pues vas. Para eso está el Metro, o el bus, o el tren, o lo que sea.
    Ser madrileño es no estar limitado a un diminuto barrio cerca de la Puerta de Sol.

      Which is the best area to stay with family and kids for a 7days vacation

      @@nidashaikh8390 La zona más turística es Gran Vía, Palacio Real, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Paseo del Prado y parque de El Retiro.
      Puedes ir con los niños a montar en barca en el Retiro o al Parque de Atracciones o al Zoo. También puedes ver algún musical.
      No sé decirte en dónde deberías dormir, depende de muchas cosas. (Puedes chequear el barrio que elijas con Google Earth 3D, Street View y otras referencias.)

      Y donde están esos barrios para vivir como Los Madrileños ?

    • @silentgnome
      @silentgnome Місяць тому

      @@gregoriopuro se refiere a los ayuntamientos de la comunidad, desde los cuales tomando tren o bus puedes llegar al centro en 20 minutos. Yo opino igual. Vivo en Getafe y en 20 minutos estoy en Sol, en Getafe vivo en una comunidad muy hogareña, con parques y espacios verdes, con más tranquilidad y, lo mejor, con un arriendo más económico.

    Thank you for this; wish you had done more on Chamberi. We are planning to live there because it felt more neighborhoody to us. What we saw in this neighborhood was amazing! Very friendly, lots of locals, families-our style!

      I agree. I didn't spend much time there but I think it's like a different, more calm, more local version of Madrid. I didn't like the center and always like the center

    Most informative video I've watched about Madrid neighborhoods (plus, in english). By the way, where's the separate video for Moncloa-Arguelles? You mentioned you would make one

      This is a really helpful informative video. But I think your content mix (travel, fitness, tech, etc) has confused UA-cam's algorithm and it doesn't know who exactly your audience is, and that is hurting your video's reach.

    I lived in Madrid for 5 years and every August the city is literally half empty, that's welcomed by residents who stick around but not so great for turistas given they're not getting fully pumped Madrid, which is quite a thing. Also, big Spanish cities that are notoriously hot in Summer like Madrid and Sevilla appear to be largely void of all life in the afternoons cos everyone's dived indoors, so that park being dead when you went there at certain times is not unusual, I used to live by the Rio you were trying to get to and in the mornings and esp evenings from about 6pm onwards there was loads of life, but in the afternoons it would be tumbleweed time.
    Ps. I love Moncloa/Arguelles too.

      What do you mean? Like you are required to have vacations?

    • @Daniel-nt5gh
      @Daniel-nt5gh Рік тому

      @@rainbowchannel3 Yes it is mandatory by law to have a month off getting payed those days as regular working days (it can be done it two ways 30 natural days, counting weekends as holydays or 24 to 26 working days that doesn't count the weekends or bank holydays as holydays).
      Usually that month (depending on the business and if you get payed 12 times or 14 times per year) you get double paycheck to enjoy holydays.
      Your employer has the right to set half of your days off when better suits him (normally August) and you can have the other half when you please along the year. Usually people with payed holydays with the working days method try to connect those holydays with bank holydays like Eastern or Christmas to have some more days off.
      It is usually a thorough process to set holydays with your coworkers to get the most juicy days, because depending on the calendar some years, from example at Easter, using just two days of your 24 days off you can have 10 payed days off in a row.
      But depending on the business and in your activity sector's union agreement, like hospitality, (August in Madrid has low activity from locals) employers can choose to close the hole month to comply with the law to give the employers a month of payed holydays although they can not choose to have them splitted in half as many other worker do.

    The comment on capitalism is so American. I say that as an American. That's what is special about Europe, people work to live and take time to enjoy life. Where Americans live to work and purchase things to fill a void.
