Sounds a lot like the Dark Zone from The Division, to be honest. Could be a lot of fun
It kinda does. But thats whats gonna make it exciting in a way. I played The Division. You most likely did too. But what stopped me playing it was Rogue Players at high level killing everyone else. But this will be all teams against one another.
Looks similar to their co-op mode in BF5. Standard maps altered a bit, some AI soldiers added along with a sprinkle of false promises about the mode. Only this time you have more squads with real people and a different objective aka BR ripoff. I don't see why they held out for so long before showing it off. To keep tension and hype around the game perhaps?
Exactly! What is the hype about?! This doesn't seem to be unique... Then every BF UA-camr compares it to Escape From Tarkov and there is absolutely nothing like that.
I think it sounds super boring with extracting, but I don't really know at all and we have to wait and see.
I have played every BF since 2004 but this one ill be skipping.

The whole game looks to be on track to be a disappointment. 3 years of development and that's what they release for the beta? Then tout this mode like it's the next best thing when it's a copycat of others. Then say well when this game sucks just hop on portal mode and make your own experience. Basically saying make bf4 in this game. That doesn't scream money grab?
@@kuhndog-1196 it totally does. Still the hasardzone mode is totally fine to have. I also find that the game has to much issues, but that mode sure isn't one of them

This just sounds like battle royale with extra steps.
Not really. Your not dropping in to find gear. You already have it. Also not trying to kill every squad in the game to win. You just need to extract with the drives at the extractions times. There's no last man standing in this mode. 32 players instead of 100 as well. They've made it very clear its not a battle Royale lol but people are gonna think what they want.
A better version of metro royale mode
So the objective really isn't to kill anyone else. It's just, to kill whoever you have to to get what's yours. Effectively, it's Tarkov but replace the black market and lootable things like GPUs and saline and whatnot with data drives as your primary objective, seems like.
Neat enough to me. Certainly BR like, but distinct enough from that genre. Just, not from Tarkov. lol
looks like a really fun mode when you aint feeling typical battlefield, i just feel it needs to be made f2p and some point through the year to popularise it with people who dont play battlefield

Changed Needed For Battlefield 2042
The User Interface needs to be redone. It was well done in the previous games, but this is simply garbage. The HUD is cluttered, needs to be simplified.
Tactical Sprint should have a 10sec limit and a 5sec cooldown, so that it's more useful for maneuvering in combat and so vehicle transport is once again valuable. Bunny-Hopping needs fixing. Revert Third-Person Executions to First-Person.
Hit Reg/Netcode needs work, we shouldn't need half a magazine to kill 1 person. Neither should heads tank a sniper shot.
Vehicles need more weight to them and ground traction. The flight models are janky as hell as well, previous games had it good.
More destruction to buildings, they appear to be sturdier against explosives in this game for some reason. Also Levolution events that actually change how the objectives/maps are played would be awesome to see return.
Bring back Buddy Revive from BFV for Non-Medics, Medic Gadgets restricted to Medic Specialists. These factors would make Medics more valuable for keeping the team alive.
Vehicles should have self-repair nerfed. Engineer Gadgets restricted to Engineer Specialists. These factors would make Engineers more valuable for destroying/repairing vehicles.
Bring back the Loadout Menu for more in-depth customization, maybe even select which attachments to have in the T-Menu for quick attachment changes (might help declutter the T-Menu).
Reintegrate the Classes/Roles through a Specialist Class System and add Faction Uniforms to the core game. Specialists can be categorized into Assault, Engineer, Support and Recon classes depending on their main function/gadget.
Secondary Gadgets restricted to Classes. Universal Secondary Gadgets would be Medical Pouches, Supply Pouches, Single-Use AT Launcher and C5 Explosive. Weapons remain free to choose.

Secondary Gadgets (2): Medical Crate, Defibrillator, HE Launcher, Smoke Launcher

I am really disapointed this game mode could be fun but i am not gonna buy this game, i have been waiting next big battle royale for while since pubg is finally dying due to incompetite devs who are really clueless what game need. que is getting longer and longer dayly. i will try 12hr trial with ea access and thats it most likely. i was looking more battleroyale experience then this is ..been playing battlefield years and they are cool but i am kinda sick of player same old game modes years and year like conquest and now with 126 players only way u could make an actual dif on map with 1 squad is helis/fighters.

Battle Royale means that the objective is to be last man standing. This is not battle Royale.

A paid version of COD WZ plunder mode, give it cpl of months & it will die if hard drive locations turned to be fixed. This mode should be free but you know DICE, has a good 3 yrs history of making mistakes starting from rushing BFV, calling people uneducated, firestorm been part of a paid & shitty product & the list goes on...& the best part, they dropped support of their own product & run like cowards. So, go figure

Specialist fit any mode just get used to it. For a player like myself that usually runs solo in past games it is nearly impossible to get anyone to drop ammo or meds without wasting 2 magazines just to try to get their attention. The specialist system takes away the need to rely on idiots and gives back the ability for people like me to play the game effectively. The only thing they need to do is make faction specific skins, trust you'll learn to love the new specialists

I mean personally, I'dve just kept the ability to take ammo off of other people. I get that complaint, sure, but it is not worth making this change just to fix that.
@@WarHeroA21 Battlefield deserves to have the ability to be innovative. Such as changing things that people think are such core parts of the experience. If battlefield stays stagnant the same people that complain about the new specialist will complain that there's nothing new added. It's just the way society works now days. It seems like the vocal minority can never just take something as it is and relax. It's a great game for a beta and I couldn't be more satisfied!

Coming from the dude trying to play the game in a way he just admitted doesn't align with the core design of the series and immediately shifted to randomly commenting on society when it was unwarranted? Oml the irony here is palpable.
Innovating doesn't necessarily mean changing what makes the game the game, man. Changing the movement system, that's innovating. Upscaling maps and teams for different experiences, that's innovating.
There's a happy medium here and the specialist system isn't quite hitting it in a looooot of people's eyes. I myself am still weighing in, like I said. But I'm leaning towards against.
No-one is reviewing 2042 well - it's a very broken game and the furthest from Battlefield gameplay of all the BF games released to date. Very disappointing coverage from AKA-ART, Jackfrags and LCG who are all tip toeing around this terrible game release.
Because the game isn’t out yet! They can only review the beta build which was one map with limited weapons and classes.
