It doesn't matter what gender an actor is, as long they are good actors and the story's good I don't mind, but having an all girls cast would not work for doctor who in my opinion.

I had no problem with Jack Harkness, no problem with a grandma-couple in s3, no problem with a lizard and Jenny. I even have gay friends, but I really hate it when they shove it down my throat and pretend society still has a major homophobia-problem, when nobody had problems with gay characters in DW before. Just compare the style of introducing homosexual characters before Bill and after. Obviously motivated by "modern" movements (feminism/lgbt) and therefore I dislike it.
I loved Bill, pearl mackie was great, but the eaters of light was the only time that i felt Bill's sexuality was forced, and also in her first scene, maffot really did pander with her sexuality times but i felt it wasn't a defining part of Bill overall
Bill was a great character. Pearl Mackie was fab and made the last Capaldi year special. Michelle Gomez is a goddess!. Love her!
