    I bought a candle at a department store, which was wrapped before I left. A month later, after I took it out of the bag, I noticed the bottom was cracked. I watched several videos until I stumbled odd to yours. This is a pink candle jar with a pink lid to match. It's so pretty I didn't want to throw it away, so I am going to incorporate this video, adding gold glitter to the bottom of my pink candle jar to cover up the crack. Thank you for your wonderful ingenuity ~ 💖

    Clear nail polish..use the brush to apply with detail and apply glitter quick.dries in 15 seconds. Apply what you want after it dries each time and then apply the clean clear for seal and protect overtop

      Yes! Saves so much money if you keep old jars - I have a movie on depotting candle wax so you can use those jars also.
      Let me know how their projects turn out @amschwahn 😊
      A lot of ppl have been asking for specific suggestions on sealants so here's a few that I like - or you can use hairspray which works pretty well
      amzn.to/2BmBPob
      amzn.to/2QXQmk6

      if the glitter is the fine glitter you can go over it again with mod podge like when you are applying it to the jar but sometimes it can pull at the glitter so I usually prefer the spray sealants 😊

    When you spray the glitter with a sealant, does it effect the glass that hasn’t been touched or if the jar was painted before adding the glitter would a sealant bother the paint?

    • @AnneMarieBeauty
      @AnneMarieBeauty  4 роки тому

      a lot of times it just depends on the sealant you use. Most of the time theres no problem but occasionally I'll hear about a little yellowing occurring. I looked at a lot of reviews before deciding on a sealant the first time but honestly I haven't actually used a sealant for several years now ... :/ I should really get back to preserving my crafts better lol

    • @AnneMarieBeauty

      Yes! You can def seal with mod podge or there are sealing sprays you can use - also the finer the glitter the better it sticks to the base of mod podge :)

      there are several spray sealants you can get at craft stores and even amazon but on this I didn't end up sealing it - although it leave a little glitter on my table from time to time I just wipe it right off.
      I have been using glitter a lot but it's pretty much when I have a coupon for Hobby Lobby or I'll pick them up at Walmart and I've just been putting a seal of Mod Podge over it once it's dry to hold the glitter

      You can get glitter at a bunch of different locations - craft stores, Walmart, Target, etc. - I get most of the glitters I use from Hobby Lobby, Michels, and Walmart

    Great Video!!
    One question thoo. How long do they last? Im planning a party in 2 months and would like to get started on things as soon as possible.
    Does anybody know if they will still look the same if i start now or if do them closer to party date? I really dont mind them looking a slight different considering the fact that everything else im doing myself.
    Thanks in advance to anybody who answers :)

      I made mine months ago and it still looks great so I would say you should be good to start making them especially if you choose to coat them with a sealant :)

      Anne Marie what sealant you used?

    • @AnneMarieBeauty
      @AnneMarieBeauty  5 років тому

      @@jeanette8444 There are several sealants, even mod podge has one in their brand :) Below I've listed a couple sealants:
      amzn.to/2BmBPob
      amzn.to/2QXQmk6
      amzn.to/2EwqB4tIf
      if the glitter is the fine glitter you can go over it again with mod podge like when you are applying it to the jar but sometimes it can pull at the glitter so I usually prefer the spray sealants 😊

      There is a spray you can get at most art stores that will seal it if you are worried about the glitter falling away however the finer the glitter you use the less likely it'll be to fall away :)

Do glitters just fall off like that? Is there something I can use to prevent it from falling and looking put together? Thank you!

      whatever sealant you prefer - mod podge has a nice spray (linked below) or you can paint it on once the first layer has time to dry
      amzn.to/2xUJrAw (Mod Podge spray)
      there are a lot of sealants so its really what you prefer - I tend to like the sprays b.c then I don't have to worry bout messing anything up
