    Totally agree regarding networking through CFA Society. Opened the door for me to land an internship in asset management, and then to a full-time role.

    3:12 You mean like
    "The minimum value of which of the following is the maximum of zero and the underlying price minus the present value of the exercise price?" 🤔😅

      Haha, the ans is - The Intrinsic value of a call option
      And it should be Max.( Stock Price - Excercise Price, 0)
      Not the pv of X

      Thanks! I started taking the exams right after college. My undergrad degree was in finance so that helped a lot for Level 1

    For level 1, is the practice category on the cfa curriculum enough ? Or would u recommend doing something more as well ?

    • @JoeMaule
      @JoeMaule  3 роки тому +2

      Personally, I was able to get through level 1 with only the CFA Institute materials. Focus on getting through all the practice problems at the end of each chapter, and the extra ones posted on their website.

    To be honest not sure CFA was worth it.

    • @JoeMaule
      @JoeMaule  3 роки тому

      I think a lot of people feel that way sometimes. The program is such a big time commitment, it depends on a person's specific career goals whether or not to go down that path.

    • @annajones9701

      @@JoeMaule For someone with little investment knowledge and an arts based degree it can be worthwhile. But was even worst for me as had a Master's in finance. Masters went far deeper and more real world relatable topics plus programming. I think I was just collecting designations. My advice is 100% do not do if already have a master's in finance/investment related from good university. Should have done CAIA as more interesting for designation collection and fact I work now in real estate private equity. Moved from investment management.

      @@annajones9701 Same here! I got a masters in global financial trading and covered a lot of investment reseach methods, coding, and portfolio management skills. I am also working at a venture capital firm. CFA would be good for people who have little investment knowledge. All the best in your career progression!
