I imagine the boards are primed with a white gesso. I buy panels already primed and they are specifically for inks. I've not had the same results doing alcohol inks on primed canvas or canvas panels though, so maybe the gesso they use in the panels is special.
The panel is made by ampersand. Alcohol inks are made by ranger under their Adirondack label and by jacquard under their piñata label. I use both brands of inks since they have very different colors and properties for each brand.
I really loved this, thank you. It’s amazing how we can see certain things appear, or where we know a spot would become a perfect blossom or tree etc.

What can i prime a panel with if it’s unprimed?
what are alcohol inks? i tried to look up and dickblick and didn't find them.. is it regular inks with rubbing alcohol?
do you seal the painting and what do you use beautiful work
I seal them with golden brand acrylic gel medium and also gloss varnish. Both offer uv protection and I put several layers of the varnish.

I honestly have no idea what colors were used. I test out colors at the beginning of every painting, and I use a new selection every time.

yes. I use the 91% rubbing alcohol from the drug store.
