i wanted to say thank you for your video. So clear and I understood right away. I never learned this in school. I was wondering how to calculate without a calculator! thank you
I really need to pass my maths course and I have been so so confused on this!! But now it makes so much sense to me and I understand how to solve these questions, thank you 🙏
Your manual method is complex, Comrade. For a man unschooled in basic math. Now, I already knew that .75 represents 3/4; and that 0.25 represents 1/4. But, what is 1/8 of a whole, expressed as a fraction? Can I use a calculator to find out?

If you apply the method described here, you can easily find the answer to 1/8 as a decimal without a calculator.
