1st Alarm Commercial Structure Fire At Industrial Building

PHOENIX FIRE PRESS RELEASE:
Crew extinguished an early morning structure fire located near 31st Avenue and McDowell. Firefighters arrived on scene just before 4:00AM and were met with a large volume of smoke and fire in an industrial building. Once crews made a quick search of the building to ensure it was clear of any occupants, command moved to a defensive operation. Firefighters were able to contain the fire, preventing it from spreading to surrounding businesses. It appears this is a mixed use business. There was one individual who was living on the premises and was able to escape the flames as crews were arriving on scene.
No injuries were reported on the fire ground in the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Cruz will be on scene throughout the morning putting out hotspots.
