I remember playing this 24/7 almost a year ago now. For some reason I’m already feeling nostalgia. I remember when I would be in the middle of taking out bases and stop to text my friend. And whenever I do, I hear this.
I fucking love this music. I just downloaded the game tonight, and I'm already in love with it, due largely in part to this music. I keep finding myself looking through the menu to see what all I can unlock, but I have to be honest with myself and admit that it's not because I want to see what I can unlock, but rather because I want to listen to this music. It fits my personality so well, as does the theme of this game. I'm a sucker for the rogue archetype. Anything that is sneaky, covert, silent, subtle, etc., I absolutely love it. This music fits into that niche perfectly. It's so soothing, so calm, so sinister, so deadly. This is the music of a lone wolf. Or as the case is in the game, the music of a small, closely knit pack of wolves.
That's the wonderful thing about instrumental music. There are no lyrics, which means that the music is honestly, truly, ENTIRELY free to PERSONAL interpretation. You're interpretation of this music is entirely different from my own, and I absolutely love it. Music is, in my opinion, the best form of art. Art is all about interpretation. It's easy to interpret painted or drawn art, because we are creatures who focus primarily on our sense of vision. But sound, however... How do you interpret the feelings that are induced in a person by sounds alone? You really can't. Not without observing that person for a long (and I mean a LONG) time. What sense most often induces "goosebumps"? Usually, it's sound. Granted, it's almost always a sound that is paired with something visual. But let me ask you this. Of all the creepy things that you've seen on the internet - dude in hoods or masks creeping into a gas station, or other videos of the sort (the kinds of things that make 3rd shift workers afraid to work 3rd shift), which ones gave you the worst goosebumps? The original videos, the videos with commentary and no music, the ones with commentary AND music (which I find immensely annoying), or the ones with only the video and the music? Personally, I think the ones with no commentary and only music are the best. However, those are still videos with music as well as a video. My ABSOLUTE favorite form of art is music with nothing else. Music and context. That's all I need, and I can make my own context if I need to. Because music doesn't not restrict or control my ability to do so. People talk shit on this game because of its "repetitiveness", but I don't hear them making the same complaints about the Farcry games. The cynics are just looking for another reason to bash yet another Tom Clancy game. It's not Tom Clancy's fault that the games that are made in his name are more close to reality than fucking Call of fucking Duty.
such a deep soundtrack, perfect for depicting a moment where you are stuck in foreign land and theres just a massive amount of buchons in the area to take out.
Im almost done with the game i started in Christmas and am still playing it the music and the game are both addicting round of applause to the creators and staff👏👏👏
Eu realmente entrava no jogo. Espero um dia poder joga-lo novamente.
Compression ruins it. Hearing it ingame with the right headset gives more bass and also more goosebumbs...the song reflects for me the sad storys of the real world deaths caused by the narcos all around the world, children who sell it to get some money while other parents suffers theyr loss of kids becouse of the sincarios. Farmers are forced to grow opium becouse its the only way to get food on the table but goverments are burning it down becouse "War on drugs" Our planet is a real tragic dark and scary place somethimes.. Check out the VICE documentary about the sincarios in Peru or others about the "Zetas" in Mexico to understand what I really mean.
You're dead on. I really love this music, but am working through a very close and traumatic death so had to turn it off in game. What it evokes in me is too heavy to hear every time I go to the menu with where I am personally at in this season of my life while writing this comment. This music really mirrors the feeling of isolation and loss, the chasm left behind in my grief. There is quiet devastation there as the world plods on around it, largely clueless. I mean, in my opinion, the fact that I had to shut it off is a testament to how damn good it is, and why I'm here listening to it in setting more conducive to being present with my loss.

People saying nostalgia'? xD this game is not that old to call it nostalgia. Just look at the graphics, its still relevant to the present day. Worth a replay. I play it now with highest difficulty. Its more immersive like that, so you can plan your tactics before make stupid moves and die insantly. Unlock everything until 100%

Can someone hear the sound of bullets falling on the ground while listening to this?
Any specific time?
For some reason, this kinda sounds like a more modern day Lynyrd Skynyrd Free Bird
I don't know why, but the music reminds me of a game from ~2000, I just can't think of the name. 😥
Anyone getting major Sicario vibes from this theme?
Someone please tell me the name of this one
Yeah, i wanna know too. Its not in the Spotify full ost.

Ubisoft has much potential for developing more games like that...
Sadly what they are doing with the Tom clancy's Franchise.
