Hi Aftersound, here's m3ll0n from YGG Niflheim. Joined SPL around Q4 2021, but really started only in Q1 2022. I have been following your videos for quite some time and honestly, dude, I am watching them now on a daily basis and the information, opinions, hypothetical calculations are enriching my SPL life. Totally agree in the first few minutes of the discussion where he says that there isn’t enough liquidity in the market for even 10 people to get max meta cards. I’ve been saying this for months. There are simply not enough cards, even counting chaos legion

loved this chat, seems like a great time to join the game. Cards are mega cheap, tokenemics have been tested/corrected and are now sound, DEC returning to peg slowly and SPS reached its turning point.

Yeap, how many months ago did we hear that THIS is the right time to join. Everything is cheap! Yet we don't see player number grow, it's actually getting less. What's wrong people?
Thank you for bringing up the importance of p v e mode. The game desperately needs it. With p v e there is no need for liquidity bots since you just play a story mode vs the computer
The story mode can have different levels or acts and reset every season
I truly believe pve mode is the missing piece from splinterlands. Once we get it the sky is the limit and the game and economy changes forever!

I feel like cards are just not an investment, but a money sink. I feel like renting and building soulbound sets is a way to get a deck, without owning anything. I feel like they should lower rewards for people renting.
As a owner of cards: rented cards are and should have the same utility as owned cards (except of course renting them once more and a few things where it wouldn't work like land and wagons).

Not azircon again! The only reason some people like him it's because he's a Splinterlands and hive whale. He's gonna after people on hive, including some Splinterlands players. There are several stories for those but I'm gonna talk about the most recent one. Very recently the account noctury had all their posts nuked to 0 rewards but azircon alone. Splinterlands giveaway posts that help the community, getting 1, maybe 2 hive reward per post from over 100, sometimes 200 different upvotes. One person comes in and boom, everything is gone. All it took was one whale who makes 150 hive per day to destroy a person making about 100x less when there was a big number people who liked the posts. But this whale says that Splinterlands players should be more involved in hive.
Nothing against Aftersound but why does azircon say his posts deserve much more rewards? Aftersound makes these videos for youtube, where he's already getting paid (I don't know how much or how little). His hive posts don't require any effort because it's just sharing what he already posted on another platform, with a small added text. It's not consistent with the reason for destroying the giveaway posts that they are repeated posts and don't require effort.
And the reason people are not encouraged to make quality posts on hive is because they are not rewarded. If azircon and I made the exact same post, I would get less than 1 hive and he would get between 20 and 50 hive. It has nothing to do with quality, it's all about being known.
Not only does he go after some Splinterlands players, he also rarely upvotes Splinterlands content. If you check his voting history, most upvotes are outside Splinterlands.
And very scary thought: azircon owning splinterlands. I would quit the game on the same day.
Some whales, including azircon talk about "skin in the game". But what does that mean? Apparently azircon is already rich so spending over $10k a year on the game is nothing. Or someone who got into the game at the right time and got their stuff super cheap and now has a lot even after selling a fraction of the stuff for profit. Anyone who bought Untamed packs from the store and did nothing with them all these years, is still in profit! To me, someone who has $100 spare money everything month and puts half of that in the game has much more "skin in the game" than someone who got lucky and joined at the right time or someone who's already rich and drops $10k like it was nothing.
This is to say that just because you have a lot of SPS it doesn't mean you're right. I don't want more Vugtis or even more 1M SPS holders. I want 10k players in the 10k-100k SPS range. 10k new players with 50k SPS would be 500M SPS. That's over 10x what Vugtis has. And the biggest upside it that all of those would vote like regular players and not like whales.
I don't think they deserve any criticism here. He talked for 1.5 hour here about Splinterlands without being judgemental about anything or anybody. Why don't you try to do this yourself? Let's see you have a constructive and positive conversation for 1.5 hour. Being negative takes no great power and is the easy way out.
And he explaining they would jump in to rescue Splinterlands from bankruptcy actually is a good thing. How can you say you would rather quit the game, than the DAO taking over and keep things running?
We should be grateful for these big cardholders holding down the fort, or we might have lost a lot more on our investment. I myself have invested 80000$ in my card collection, which is now valued 15000$. This talk has actually made me feel bullish again about the game, and it's very comforting to know these guys are part of the foundation of Splinterlands.
@@FreedomEveryWay My criticism is directed at azircon, not at Aftersound. It wasn't mostly about this conversation but about his attitude towards other hivers and Splinterlands players. I can see the positive and the negative. Having a positive talk for 1.5 takes as much effort as a negative talk for the same time. And I'm not "being negative" for the sake of it. It's not like I insulted someone and gave no reasons. I would understand your comment if that was the case. I stated situations where azircon has hurt other Splinterlands players. And I didn't even insult him, I just criticized him.
I wouldn't quit if the DAO were to rescue Splinterlands, I would quit if azircon became in charge of Splinterlands. I don't like him, I don't like what he has done and I don't trust him. So why would I stay in a game where he was in charge?

There is no reason to join game at this point. Infact Champion players are leaving. Team will have hard time atracting new players. If there is no reason for Champion player to stay, why would any new one joined?
No reason until SPS goes up. Also, some people just like playing the game.

@@nikolacvijovic6853 depends on the optics, e.g. in Niflheim, the sentiment is rather good based on the chat messgs on discord. Since Matt took over from the Master of FOMO, things look much better from game perspective.
