POPULAR PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT RHYTHM PATTERNS - How I Make Them Sound Fuller
Вставка

- A piano tutorial on how I make popular piano accompaniment rhythms/patterns sound more full and interesting. I get asked a lot to explain what I do when I do what's demonstrated in this lesson - so finally a piano lesson (trying) to explain it, and how you can incorporate some of these elements into your playing, advancing your accompaniment. I use common chord progressions as examples to help demonstrate these common chord patterns.

Thank you so much, I've been looking for a video like this for a while.
It was so interesting and very helpful, thank you :)
Extremely useful. Thank you so much. I have seen this hand movement but you took it real slow. Definitely will practice this and pray 🙏 God gives me the increase
I was searching for this tip for the last 3 years and i found out at last. Watched a lot of videos asked my teacher and never got the answer but here it is. Thanks a lot and i love u.
So pleased it helped :)
Filling out the sound with notes already under your fingers; a simple but powerful technique I did not know. This is an epiphany for me to play at a higher level. Thank you!
This is exactly how I trick people into thinking I have a decent clue on piano 🤷♂️. I’ll throw in a 4th if I’m feeling super adventurous. Then Ill get my ass back to a guitar.
Finally I founde a good teacher so far I wached 6 vids ty for being a good teacher I'm learning to play piano during quarantine
Ty for the heart!
Excellent video instruction! Accompaniment rhythm and how to fill in the spaces has always been a weakness for me. I have watched many other videos on the subject and it’s like they pretend to be trying to help, but in fact, they seem to not want to give away the “secret” of what they are really doing. Thank you so much for your explanations and demonstrations!
Pleased you found it helpful - I genuinely struggled to explain what I do, so glad it made sense!
very good
Sounds lovely more like professional when you adding extra notes in between, very hard for me to put it into practice though. I'll give it a go. Thanks
This is brilliant! 🤘🤘 That 251 at the beginning filled out is without doubt the most beautiful thing I have ever played! This is a great lesson. Can't wait to try the other examples..👌👌🙂
I was search this video to learn accompaniment, now I have rediscovered it, thanks another, abhijit.

Didactically a very strong and well structured lessened good solid explanations, and easy to follow for everyone. Well done you, anyone suggesting otherwise does not quite grasp the art of teaching
Thank you, I'm pleased you found it helpful :)
Every time I play one of your tutorials Francesca I always take something away from it. This is another awesome tutorial that immediately improves my rhythm playing x
That was great coming from guitar, where many of us play from simple chord charts. Might be told, the ‘feel’ of a song, but then it’s on us.
I have been watching a load of piano hints and tips videos and have watched a few of yours. You really orchestrate your lessons well and keep them interesting and informative.subscribed and liked. 👍
Just found your channel yesterday and I’ve been on it for two days. Thank you so much for teaching the way you do
Thanks a lot, thank u so much. You just taught me what I actually wanted to learn. Love u lots ❤️❤️
Very much appreciate this video; I will definitely use some of these techniques. Thank you!

Brilliant! I can’t wait to start noodling and playing more chords.
My music changes with my mood ❤❤
Thank you so, so much! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for and you made it so digestible 💖

Thanks for this video, this is exactly what ive been wanting to learn.
Glad it was helpful!
A good teacher can explain exactly what they are doing.
No they mean that you are a good teacher explaining it
You have no idea how helpful this video is thank you so much
Glad you found it helpful 🤗
I was looking for this kind of easy explaining for this particular rhythm. Thanks 👌🏻
Glad it was helpful! :)
This is an excellent video companion to your 6 Simple Ways Accompaniment video - so easy to understand but it will take me a while to get the hang of actually playing this way! Maybe you could include a link to that video here as well, and perhaps later you'll make a whole playlist of just accompaniment videos!
I do have a chord-based playlist!
Thank you so much😊 This is very helpful and exactly what I was looking for in terms of accompaniment..
Glad it was helpful! :)
Thank you Francesca for giving this idea. Learnt something which I can use for my lifetime. Really appreciate it 🙏. Merry Xmas.
Super video! These techniques will be so useful. Thank you.
You're very welcome :)
I love so much your teaching
I'm so glad!🤗🎹
I’ve been playing a digital piano for a year as of March, so hoping to implement what you’re showing here to start filling in the sound on some of the songs I’ve written and composed. I like the idea of alternating with the thumbs and breaking the chords going up or down based on the melody. I’ll be doing some experimenting with this.
Thank you!
Just what I Need es, Thank you
Pleased you found it helpful :)
Yes this is heaven... Amazing how inspiring and it brings one courage to express oneself, waw! You know dear that I am more like you, I can't explain what is inside me musically... is more like a spiritual thing that is being expressed through music. I can very humbly make up things and get away with😉 and be thankful that it works and sounds nice, but I think what you're explainig here I more or less experience myself (i have no clue of music, I do it by ear and my ears and the songs let me know when is not right and then ajust it then is fine... is funny how it works🙂, but it suits me perfectly. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, wonderful you're🙂👏.
You’re very welcome 🤗🎹
When she got to the hump ty dump ty with "When The Party's Over" I was like "imagine that being a song together"
Amo tus tutoriales no se inglés pero te entiendo perfectamente sigue así 😁
God Bless! Take care! 🙏🏻😊
Hi Francesca, I’m 65 years old and teaching myself how to play the piano. I really enjoy your videos. Thank you. I have been looking for piano accompaniment rhythm patterns tutorials on UA-cam. There are several teachers such as yourself that have covered this topic. What I found lacking in the tutorials is the use of popular songs (not just “Let it be”) to demonstrate the use of the various patterns. Are you planning to create such a tutorial. Thank you in advance, and a big hug from Canada.
I plan to make a popular accompaniment rhythm pattern video very soon, where I will refer to songs that use a particular pattern.
Helpful for accompaniment
A good technique to teach, thank, yes useful
Good lesson, thanks Baba😎✌️
My pleasure!

Pleased it helped!
I will surely find this helpful!
Hope it helps! :)
I know how to play chord progressions even in inverted forms but this rhythm patterns to fill out the notes looks really daunting. It looks hard to learn it by yourself. This is where you will need a piano teacher sitting beside you and teaching you the patterns. I’m a complete beginner by the way.
This really isn’t for beginners. Try this video lesson instead ua-cam.com/video/E_b_qiax2Hk/v-deo.htmlsi=0ncOxIkCz07sx9XJ

Could you please do Selfish by
Madison Beer?
Can I request ballade pour Adeline? Thank you
Could you do a tutorial of Just For A Moment by Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Basset pls
Merci for this, another great video with useful info.
When you did the 2-5-1 progression, the 5 was a G Major chord, but you used the dominant 7. Is that because the 5th is the tonic chord? Otherwise it should have been F#, n'est-ce pas? I'm just learning music theory with sevenths so it might be a dumb question.
Because it’s in the key of C major where the F isn’t a sharp.
Can you please give us a tutorial on chords for Bridges by Aisha Badru? Thanks in advance :)
Trying to learn Keanes Every bodies Changing at the mo via a tutorial on UA-cam and the guy teaching says to just noodle. I have APD and just can't get it, so frustrating😕
I’m guilty of saying that in my tutorials too. Hopefully this video will shed a bit of light into what we mean when we say that!
@@BitesizePiano yeh i get it but I just can't hear it especially if I'm trying to work out the notes in the original music
@@davidkerr4137 then you need to maybe use sheet music
@@BitesizePiano thats why I found your channel. I was learning Billy Joel's Piano man but the sheet music just isn't what he plays; or for matter what any artist plays. I think the only sheet music I have that is pretty close is Imgaine
Hi! Can you do a tutorial of Sorry of Halsey?
Can u post the piano sheet for this? Its very good we can not find in other footages or piano teachers.
There is no sheet music as it's all 'improvised'. It's giving ideas, it's not teaching a concrete thing.
Can you do a tutorial of the song? (daddy by Coldplay) please
Didn't get where and how you were playing the non accented beats here it went too fast. Any way you could slow it down please and show with lights or red markings ?
I did play it slowly and explained what I was doing. Using lights requires spending a lot of money. These tutorials are free.
Bitesize Piano i understand
Can we use non harmony notes in between?
You can do what you like!
