  • Dev Diary: forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/...
International markets explained in slightly more detail that normal pog. This is one of those closer to a walkthrough than a preview dev diaries where they try to demonstrate what something does instead of what something is which is usually less drawing but its still useful to be in the know. Note this dev diary is on a monday - how sussy what could it mean - more to come? Release date is so close now that were seconds away. Also its spooky season, spooky hoi4 dlc...

I wonder how the lend lease changes will effect the game. These changes can be good for nations like France, where you have a lot of civilian factories but don't have enough time to build military factories to fight the germans, and instead buy equipment directly. We'll see what happens I guess.

It could also stunt the development of a nation like france so there are less factories when they do die.

I think this can really be useful for some nations, because you don't have to "invest" in Mils, which slowly start producing equipment, but can purchase arms right away.

Won’t it depend entirely on the maths involved? Like, either you will get higher production from selling guns, in which case you should build mils->send guns and get civs that way, and if that is the case then you should never build a civ ever again, or it will be more worth to buy guns and then you should try to invest heavily in civs and buy guns until there is no surplus left in the world.

the British had to sell alot more then factory production to buy ships from the USA during WW2. they had to pay with military bases all over the world.

Thanks H - I think I understand this. A couple of questions: Does buying and selling stuff with your puppet affect autonomy - I guess not as it is an economic bargain, you are not just stealing it from them. I wonder if arbitrage works - i.e. if you buy cheap trains from USA and sell them to a desperate country expensively are you ahead on the civ cost/boost equation ? Probably only works if you have market access the cheap seller doesn't or you will just get bypassed. Tks - MMM

Hihi - i loaded up HOI to answer you haha. So trading with my puppets as UK ( i traded Gloster planes with all of them ) and not a single one had autonomy lowered.
As for arbitage i can say that the price is fixed between three prices. Market value - 25% more and - 25% less. So it is possible to lets say spend 1 civ on market value and sell at 25% profit over BUT and its a big but. I dont think the EC generated has any comparison to the loss of civ to purchase. That is to say while you will make more EC from selling the nation you buy equipment from - the actual civ you spent to buy it originally will not be made up for by the EC.
Its cheaper to sell than to buy so I cannot find a way to justify buying equipment to sell it. Only use lazy mils to build equipment to sell and use lazy civs to buy equipment to use.

When I press the button to buy weapons, it says: To use the Weapon Market, you must have the No Slep Back DLC.
How do I open the weapon purchase button called FOREIGN ARMS MARKET
