Thanks for the tutorial one thing you didn't mention but I still learned from this is that you can replace spies I somehow never knew you could just get rid of your old ones 😅
Honestly, I think this is the most fun and immersive implementation of a spying subgame I have ever seeen in a game. Certainly much more fun that those abstract implmementations of prior HOI games. Looking forward to "Espiocracy" though.
Honestly the spy system help me through the game so much as a new player, I was playing Japan with entire world decolonized and pacifying the natives by rooting out the resistance let me get so much resources and manpower I otherwise wouldn’t have, I know collaboration government is a thing but sometime I just don’t have the time and with Prince of Terror combination I could pacify the locals with only Local Police and some horse MP garrison.
thank you for this video bro. also, i know this vid is like a year old and you probably already know, but in rt56 you can christopher lee as a spy for the united kingdom.
the spies are really useful, especially against someone like germany or soviets, its either only recieving factories or both that and fast capitulation (i watched you only once and i have you all over youtube)
I like spies, and I dont think people overlook it the issue is its just a pain in the ass XD like trying to manage naval its just such a pain especially for certain nations that its just more enjoyable to ignore it or just do the basics. I am in the basics camp, I max out decryption and various defensive upgrades, and just never use my spies except MAYBE to setup a collab government. Otherwise back to counter intel they go.
It depends! If I'm a minor nation, probably not, as I wouldn't ever get more than 2 maybe 3 spies max, so I'd likely be using them to take away planning bonus or stealing blueprints. If I'm a major that can build collabs, I usually work on them from the start!
@@hammotimee Playing last night , I caught a spy! But don't know what they were doing. I assume building the network for the bonuses, I think democratic countries can't do colab govts.

Oh my god how could I forget this 😂 yes great call! Especially helpful if you need spies of a certain nationality!
@@hammotimee I still learned it here so thanks again

The spies are sick and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise!

Spies are goated
One of the most anticipated tutorials! Thanks a lot!!
You're so welcome! I hope it helps!
S-pills and "...a small chance of your spies un-aliving themselves" is a brilliant bit of writing to get around the stupid YT filters! Well done!
Thank you! Glad someone appreciated that haha
I remember some UA-camr called them headache tablets once 🤣

Thank you! And RT56 is so fun haha
Can't stop hearing the theme to Spies Like Us. But then again, I'm old.
It makes me think of spy kids or Casablanca haha
You went both old school and new school at the same time. Nice.
@@jimberry7385 why thank you

Absolutely! And I've held frontlines by taking away planning bonus too
What an awesome tutorial thank you for making this

Yeah I feel you, just gotta have it be part of your usual repotoirre haha
fantastic intro here. looking at your other videos now.
Just found this AT. Good video. I've been doing it all wrong.
Happy to help!!
Do you start your intelligence agency at the very begining of every game? 5 civilian factories seems a very high cost on the early game to me

How late for a major nation is “late enough to handicap you”, assuming you’re not planning to bumrush by 1940
This helps so much, thanks so much!

Thank you, keep going

In solo games, does the a.i use spies? Great lesson, I have this mod but couldn't find a good explanation of what to do with them!
They sure do, but I'm not sure to what purpose/extent? I don't know if they build collabs or anything like that or just use the Intel bonuses

@@johnp4000 yeah unsure! Maybe the steal tech? 👀
What mod does spy network appear in
The La Resistance DLC
The other aspect is: Spying is Fun!
It sure is!
imagine not using collaboration government on soviet union
Absolutely insane behaviour honestly
Is this spy agency a mod?
No mods! It's from La Resistance!
