As I'm typing this, I'm only at 9:19 so if you address it in the video then thank you, but the thought crossed my mind and I didn't wanna lose it. My biggest problem with building is detail symmetry, I always end up thinking one side or one level is more bare so I overcorrect and I get stuck trying to find a balance of detail.

I have the same issue! 😞 Let me help, use Replay mod if your pc crash even when loading potato friendly shaders then you can lower your resolution to load the shader. "Replay mod" can render shaders at 1080p 60fps (even if it's potato pc) Edit: If that doesn't work for you then maybe you can at least cook potatoes on your pc

You don't want random, you want a naturally worn look is what people visually want. The water stone block gradient nailed it. The walls and roof should be the same gradient and not random. Make a purposely hit and repaired part of a castle wall, don't just randomize odd blocks in the wall, it makes it look like you tore down an outpost and built with just those materials and used whatever block happened to be in your inventory.
