@@4004Transformers To not make you worry that much about the new packaging, the size class is still on the package but on the left side of the box. It's quite prominent on the Age Of The Primes Megatronus packaging.
Actually that new Optimus Prime is from Transformers Devastation and yes he will be a Deluxe Class figure. The SS86 Optimus Prime figure is a totally different figure which is a Commander Class figure that was released this year and it was numbered as 86-31.
I agreed. That is to tell the difference. But he does have a point. Like the ss bumblebee movie bumblebee as a example. "IF" both don't have numbers how can we tell which is which? Especially if we order online? Can the tell the difference? I'm a bit worry about that for future figures. Or maybe they can just put a "2.0" "3.0" at the end I guess😅
Would be hella annoying to have the boxes of Megatron and sentinel to be next to eachother, and have them be entirely different styles despite being the same movei
I feel like they should switch the colors from black to red on the overall box so they could pop out more and for red characters like Optimus put like a white or black outline around them
We did pretty well without the numbers in the Legacy line. I just don't see where the confusion would come in. We look at the figure itself, then we look at the written description of figure on the box, it has the brand, the sub-brand, the studio or universe, and the figure's name, that's all the information you'll need to identify the figure you're buying. And if you're truly not sure on what you're getting, look it up, the Internet is literally in the palm of our hands.
I think theses new box style should have been used for gamer edition and keep the numbers Keep the old style with the normal studio series And give 86 a new more 80s style of toys to make it stand out more
I agree with everything here like I like new designs but they didn’t have to take off the number or or the backdrops because that’s what made the studio series line stand out, it’s why we collect them in the first place, to “bring our favorite characters to life” but nooooo Hasbro says “uhhh let’s change the box durrrhrheh.” But yeah kinda disappointed but yeah we just gotta number them ourselves 😅
3:08 I honestly don’t blame you for getting this figure wrong. You can barely see Transformers Devastation on the bottom. Wouldn’t be problem if they used the original boxes.
@@4004TransformersPersonally, I don't care much for the number but now I can see your point. They should've add the number for easier identification and I just realized that there's a lot of Bumblebees out there.
I feel like the red text works better vertically. If it’s horizontal then I’d rather have the classic font. The vertical text has been there for 10 years and it’s become a part of the the transformers design language. Dropping that just feels kinda off.
i think the fact that u didnt realize that was the gamer edition transformers devastation prime and thought it was the 86 prime just reinforces ur point that these boxes do a terrible job of differentiating these figures
@@4004Transformers Well the numbers have been really confusing these days. For example, Galvatron and Optimus Prime sharing the same number "86-31". Same thing with Dead Ironhide and Scrapheap having to share the same number ID of "86-24". And of course Studio Series Hatchet being both 94 and 117 at the same time. Like super confusing to the point where Hasbro can't even count properly.
It is weird that they not using numbers anymore. Like you said, if they do a update remake like bumblebee movie bumblebee. The only good thing is the plastic windows. SS DELUXE devastation optimus is easy to see the difference from the ss86 optimus prime. But yeah if they redo update a figure, it will be a bit confusing.
The numbers imo is sotra a nitpick for me but the only things i don't like is that the top left of the box looks like it came from an authentics toy and the fact that TT is not credited on the front of the box
The one thing i really like about these boxes is that the figures are able to be shown in full thanks to the plastic windows instead of only half of the figure being shown
they dont even have the size class anymore
Yikes!!! I haven't even caught that!!!

I love the new boxes but that number missing sure grind my gears!

packaging doesn't matter the only reason you buy a studio series is to transform pose and display not play with packaging
Yeah, but for collectors it makes life easier

They look beautiful, and atleast they have plastic windows
