For those of us who have never experienced the newer mega-ships, this gives us an excellent preview of all the other restaurants and dining experiences that are available in other parts of the Royal Caribbean fleet. I must say that there are so many hundreds of items per day/week in the buffets (four times a day), plus the main dining rooms, plus the other complimentary restaurants, that one could easily be very happy without spending extra on specialty dining.
Best description of this ship on youtube. Other bloggers are boring and make it about themselves with selfies and Instagram type photos. I actually prefer to spend extra on Specialty restaurants. If I want a burger and fries I could eat that at McDonalds. Thank you for this very informative video.😊

For dining, do they place you with other people? For ex, my girlfriend and I just recently went on a MSC cruise…. Each dinner we were placed at a table with 2 other couples, (6 people total). We were not fans of this that’s why I ask!

I opted for traditional dining at 5:30pm on my upcoming cruise as a solo cruiser. Can I request to sit by myself at a small table? I also don't want to eat on the deck the casino is on because of the smoke smell? Can I request to be seated on a different deck? I know, I'm asking for a lot.
Tough question. We give mdr to Royal. NCL has better specialty restaurants. Casual eats is a toss up depending on the ship. We like the local on NCL and the buffet is average. Royal mega ships have el loco fresh and the park cafe which we like.

so if we have the unlimited dining package we have to wait to get on the ship make reservations? i try to make reservations online and it keeps trying to charge me. If we get on the and wait to make reservations will they even have spots available? if not then this dining package isn't so great

Honest Review of Wonder of the Sea The ship is huge…. Just added more cabins, more overprice Dining options, less venues for activities. Compare to other Oasis class, this has worst layout and less activities resulted boring cruise experience. Super difficult to find a seat at all venue. Music Hall and Bolero is smaller, while Karaoke and photo shop are super large. Service was excellent throughout the ship, including Dining Room and Windjammer. Excellent services provided by Erwin Nelson - Pool bartender, Noor of Windjammer, Fernando of Windjammer greeter, Ping at the Diamond Lounge, Juluis of Chef in kitchen and Anderson Perego of the pool towel station. The Captain is very friendly. The Beverage and Hotel Director Erfin is too pride to talk/listen and be friend with passingers. Dining Room for lunch and Dinner: Due to cost cutting, poor food quality. Very limited selection, limited to 3 appetizers and 3 main dishes. Menu is 12 years old and boring. Do not expect to have lobster until the 13th days. Pork Chops are always over cooked and very tough. However, service is wonderful, but need minor adjustment as to coordination and cooperation. Diamond Lounge: Usually there is a line for coffee. The 2 coffee machines break down daily and often. One machine has been leaking for 8 days. Also, we need more than 2 coffee machines for so many members. Mr. Ping of Beverage Dept. is very good in cleaning and reset the coffee machines constantly. Music: Third class. Bands at the Top Stage of Royal Promenade is a total waste. People just walk by and treat them as random noise that no one enjoy. Only 1 out of 50 people takes time to look up at the top stage noise makers. Boleros: Only place to dance on the ship. The LATIN band only plays the Mexican Pechanga and nothing else. At our request, they start playing Latin songs Cha Cha, Rumba, etc. at the end of the cruise. Not a true Latin band. The dance floor only fits 10 couples dancing for 7000 passengers. Sorrento: Separation of pizza from the drink and snack counter created confusion, and people flow problem. Sport Activities: Great. Zip line is super short. Production show: Wonderful and enjoyable. Enforcers 2 is fantastic. No more Broadway shows. Overall: Boring cruise unless you are super active in sport.

What Kind of drinks are given if there is absolutely NO drink menue purchased? Is there table wine at dinner? Is there water? Any other drinks?
No wine or beer is included. Free drinks include still water, brewed coffee, iced tea, lemonade, and some juices at meals.
Correction. A cup of sea water is scooped out as the only option.
You always have tea to drink which is free... Water will always be served. Cold drinks and wine will be a charge. Coffee after dinner is also free.

Playmakers is included, you just have a set dollar amount as it’s a la Carte. We believe the current allotment is 20.

We recommend making reservations as soon as you board the ship. When are you sailing?
We have found that the Ovation, Harmony and Mariner have gluten free pizza. Harmony hit it out of the park.

Most likely they don’t use filtered water. You would need to ask about the types of coffee once onboard.
