Brand new subscriber here from Fall River,Massachusetts! My wife and I will be sailing on the Wonder of the Seas in 98 days and we just enjoyed a couple of your videos... 🇺🇸👊
Glad to see that you are having so much fun together....(happily married how long?) You have given a very good overview of the long list of dining options on the mega-ships. I was wondering whether you had any experience/information with the reported changes to the Main Dining Room menus, starting around this month/year? I must say that the current standard Royal Caribbean format with constant-every-night Classics sections plus a daily changing menu was excellent for variety through the years to present. However, I do understand that many guests are eager to have a dining experience closer to one hour than to two hours, so that they can enjoy shows and other entertainment/activities before and after dinner.
Hey Brent! Yes, married for 25 years. We’re not going anywhere. ❤️ I’d have to say I also love the classics always being on the menu and will definitely miss that. That’s the biggest complaint I’ve read online too. Some folks are moving to the kids menu to find something they like! That’s sad. We won’t be cruising again until September, so I hope they have all the kinks worked out of the “new” by then. 😂
I was on Wonder a few weeks ago with a large group of people most of us ate in Windjammer, we found the food just ok most of it a cut above a fast food chain especially compared to the last RC cruise we took. The staff was wonderful and Rasel’s wash your hands song will always come to mind while washing my hands.
It’s sad the food quality has diminished so much. Not sure why or if they realize it. We’ve been honest in our post/cruise reviews, but not sure if we’re in the majority or not. Sounds like you had a great cruise otherwise, though!
@@AllThingsWagner it was a good time but a good number of the people on the ship tested positive for the flu and some for COVID. A good recommendation is for people to join a Facebook group for their particular cruise by date.
Thank you for the nice food tour. Booking my 8th soon. Finding the longer one stays with Royal the harder it is to try the other lines. Looking forward to the French onion soup again creme brulee again 😃
Oh, I shouldn't have watched this before lunch - you've successfully made me SO hungry! If there's one prize I think the American lines win every time over the European lines, it's the food! Great video - thanks for sharing this - Wonder looks fantastic!
@@AllThingsWagner so I haven’t ever cruised Royal, but seeing some good Symphony deals in Europe next summer, so it could be my time to give it a try…!

Great videos. Was wondering whether the restaurants you went to (except for the ice cream) was all inclusive with the ticket price or additional price. Also, were shows and zip lining an extra fee too,if so how much more.
Except for ice cream, ALL were included!! Shows are also included, but you need to reserve a spot right after you get on board. Ziplining is included too. The Oasis class ships are a good bang for the buck!
Just got off Wonder last Sunday. This is our 4th cruise with RC and the Windjammer was better than on previous cruises. I was very happy with it. All 5 in our group liked it. We didn’t really enjoy the dining room to be honest. We went to 3 of the specialty restaurants and they were excellent.
Just found your channel this morning and I must say you are both doing an outstanding job!! My question is how much bigger is the Windjammer and Solarium on the Wonder as compared to the Oasis? Good thing I had dinner before watching this video.
Your "Ranger" cookies sound alot like "ANZAC" biscuits, Anzac biscuits have long been associated with the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) established in World War I. It has been claimed that these biscuits were sent by wives and women's groups to soldiers abroad because the ingredients do not spoil easily and the biscuits kept well during naval transportation.
Yep, I was about to write the same thing. Love me some fresh Anzac biscuits! I'm a kiwi (New Zealander), not the kiwi in your breakfast ;-), which evendently looked like pale figs. I'm a food, so I had to double-check that. Great video, by the way. I have never been on a cruise boat and really want to, but my husband doesn't want to 😕
Where did JJ get the white hat he was wearing with the red shirt for dinner in the MDR? Very cool and stylish. I'd like to get a couple of them for our upcoming sailing on Explorer. 🙂
Hi! Was the Chops filet you ordered through the MDR worth the extra money? Definitely cheaper than a reservation at Chops, but would you do that again? Thanks!
Oh my!!!! I hope she was ok! What kind of shape must she have been in to cause that kind of harm with such a small move?! As they say, we should all know our limitations. 😉
That was really peaches and a FIG!!! Not a Kiwi And that was not a carrot with the baked chicken...LOL... it was a slice of Butternut Squash! Too cute!
It would be great if you could. Google special needs real Caribbean. There is a section on their website and a form you can fill out to let them know ahead of time.Iit will also be fine if you let them know after you get on board, but it cuts down their planning time.
The MDR is included!! After this video was published, Royal changed their MDR rules a little for specific foods. You can always ask for seconds, but I'm not sure they will allow it with no extra charge for all dishes. Be ready for either response. 👍🏼
😂🤣 we used to go to the gym on sea days, but we’ve been remiss the last couple of cruises. At home, we’re up at 4:00 am M-F. It’s the only time we’ll actually do it. 😉🏋️♂️
Honest Review of Wonder of the Sea The ship is huge…. Just added more cabins, more overprice Dining options, less venues for activities. Compare to other Oasis class, this has worst layout and less activities resulted boring cruise experience. Super difficult to find a seat at all venue. Music Hall and Bolero is smaller, while Karaoke and photo shop are super large. Service was excellent throughout the ship, including Dining Room and Windjammer. Excellent services provided by Erwin Nelson - Pool bartender, Noor of Windjammer, Fernando of Windjammer greeter, Ping at the Diamond Lounge, Juluis of Chef in kitchen and Anderson Perego of the pool towel station. The Captain is very friendly. The Beverage and Hotel Director Erfin is too pride to talk/listen and be friend with passingers. Dining Room for lunch and Dinner: Due to cost cutting, poor food quality. Very limited selection, limited to 3 appetizers and 3 main dishes. Menu is 12 years old and boring. Do not expect to have lobster until the 13th days. Pork Chops are always over cooked and very tough. However, service is wonderful, but need minor adjustment as to coordination and cooperation. Diamond Lounge: Usually there is a line for coffee. The 2 coffee machines break down daily and often. One machine has been leaking for 8 days. Also, we need more than 2 coffee machines for so many members. Mr. Ping of Beverage Dept. is very good in cleaning and reset the coffee machines constantly. Music: Third class. Bands at the Top Stage of Royal Promenade is a total waste. People just walk by and treat them as random noise that no one enjoy. Only 1 out of 50 people takes time to look up at the top stage noise makers. Boleros: Only place to dance on the ship. The LATIN band only plays the Mexican Pechanga and nothing else. At our request, they start playing Latin songs Cha Cha, Rumba, etc. at the end of the cruise. Not a true Latin band. The dance floor only fits 10 couples dancing for 7000 passengers. Sorrento: Separation of pizza from the drink and snack counter created confusion, and people flow problem. Sport Activities: Great. Zip line is super short. Production show: Wonderful and enjoyable. Enforcers 2 is fantastic. No more Broadway shows. Overall: Boring cruise unless you are super active in sport.
Are you sure you were not pissing off the other guests? I like the details you present, but I would not want to be seated next to you or be in line next to you because you were all in other people’s space with loud descriptions of the food. That could be irritating to others, but thanks anyway.
