RG3 also entered the league with the same injuries that essentially costed him his career... that injury haunted him for the rest of his career, i dont understand why no one ever takes that into account,..
People don’t realize is Daniels has never missed a game in college and the biggest injury was a broken finger and concussion but stilled played every game especially when he played the SEC and didn’t get injured. RG3 literally tore his ACl in college and then tore it again in the NFL and that’s why he was never the same. Other Dual threats like Lamar, Richardson, Newton all had an injury history in college and missed games while Daniels never did.
Imagine they adapt to the subpar tackles by running 2-3 TE sets a lot and run the ball to death. With Kingsbury calling 10 passes a game. That would be awesome
We built a legit O-Line up the middle to protect a slight QB. Does M.Brooks get a look. Phillips is never wrong just ask him? This is Year One of a Rebuild/Recalibration! Let's enjoy the journey!
Craig, how long have you lived here and not know that spring in DC is a nice weekend?
I just keep wishing man lol
Hoffman we got our guy and let's get to work. H.T.T.R./H.T.T.C. let's Fucking Go!
I don't want to hear the just like RGIII crybabies . RGIII was the last time we had hope . Granted it was short lived but not 1 , repeat , not 1 guy at that spot has generated that kind of excitement since then
Donald Penn is available 😂😂😂. Best Left Tackle we've had in the last 6 years.
Give a similar Lamar Jackson build with a better arm, sounds like a win to me.
A QB who is injured more than he plays and only been in the playoffs twice and lost both times. no i dont like that
@@metatron333ascensionLamar is not injured more than he plays that is an ignorant statement if Washington went to the NFC championship in the next 3 years that would be a massive success compared to what we’ve been through the last 20+ years
@@coreyyo991 lamar is 2-4 in the playoffs. he will never be any better than that. he will always come up short. just a slightly better QB than Dak. which isnt saying much.
@@metatron333ascension it would be nice if Washington made the playoffs at least so I would take a couple of playoff appearances
@@coreyyo991 fair enough
I am concerned about injury but the optimism I have stems from league rule changes and qb protection by the refs. Interior o-line is new, except for Cosmi who was good. It's not so much that 'the o line is bad' - it's that the two tackles are subpar.
If y’all listened to TAKE COMMAND. You’d know how our Oline might actually NOT be as bad as everyone makes out. Not saying they’re good, but what’re you supposed to do when your supposedly elite offensive coordinator leaves your second year QB, who has a well-documented sack problem, hung out to dry to the tune of the most freaking pass attempts in the NFL last year?
Every defense we faced knew we weren’t gonna run it. They knew Sam was gonna sit back there in the pocket. And they knew that EB wasn’t gonna call anything to protect Sam or mask any tendencies. Not even Phillys line would have stood up to being over leveraged like that week in and week out. Just take a sec and relax. We have coaches in here now who actually know what they’re doing (and appreciate the run game) and a rookie qb who is excellent at getting the ball out on time.
It's so funny.... RG3 was going to work. He lost his mystic with the injury. Snyder mismanaged the injury and the player and things happened the way they did..... AFTER he took a horrible team to the playoffs on his arm and legs. Lol. If Jaden duplicates what RG did in 2012... I'm going to be just fine.
💯 Facts ppl forget about the ride that RG3 took us on. He was electric and played lights out just had a freak injury that derailed him physically & mentally
Another problem was Shanahan. I know what he was doing, it is the same trick that HCs have been doing to egotistical owners and players for 100 years: give them exactly what they wanted until they learn that the HC is always right. But that isn't what that team needed. It needed a Responsible Adult™ who would overrule others when there was a serious issue.
"Victory has a hundred fathers and defeat is an orphan."
RGme mismanaged his injury with his whole all in for week one bull ish. He was selfish and scared that everyone would figure out that kirk was better.
@@jj18057 every player wants to play. It is up to leadership. This an old debate. We all know what happened.
RGIII also had Alfred Morris, who made him even more dangerous.
Can we make a simple agreement - to never discuss RGme again. Ever.
Hail To The Redskins HTTR 21 GetSkins HitSkins 🐷🏈🥊!!!!!
No way did JD have a better arm.
It's not stronger, but I would argue it's better. More touch. Knows how to layer throws. More useful, even if not stronger.
Bigger arm doesn’t equal better passer or higher passing IQ
@@craighoffman You taking his WRs into account? I think people are in for some shock with Daniels at the NFL level. There are quite a few throws when you watch Nabers' film where JD leaves a ton of yards on the field with underthrown/poorly placed passes.
@TheMattTrakker did he have more missed throws than Maye, who played in a extremely porous ACC? The answer is no, and his completion percentage was arguably the best in the ncaa, so while it's cool to reference who his receivers were you still have to be accurate with the football whether it's short, medium or deep throws, which he was
Its not just the body type comparing him to RG3. neither knows how to slide to avoid hits. so yea it could turn out to be RG3 2.0 That's why RG3 got injured. He still didnt learn it when he went to cleveland.
JD does avoid hits. He also seeks them out sometimes. Obviously needs to be moderated.
@@craighoffman the videos im seeing guys are literally pushing him down with one hand because he is too small and dont avoid hits. And thats college not pros players. his style is going to have to change some in order for him to have a long career in the NFL. what he did in college he isnt going to be abled to do in the NFL.. He had 1 good year with LSU and was horrible at arizona state. we will see. right now i just dont see JD being any good
I have a feeling they're going to sit him this year behind Mariota. It ain't like we're going to win nothing. It's going to take a couple of years
Rg 3 is a one year wonder that turned out to be a bust , 🥊
Rg3 was going absolute ham turned the team around...just like stroud did buy gets no love because he got hurt. We would be lucky to have another rg3 and stay healthy.
RGIII got himself injured - many times. Taking on the last defender or turning back into trouble instead of getting down or OOB's. Playing "superman" did him in. RGIII never used a detailed playbook in college, calls came in from the sidelines while they were lined up ready to snap the ball, no wonder the Shanahan's had to completely change the offense in that 2012 off season because RGIII could not learn the WCO. RGIII had poor pre-snap and post snap read ability. Watch Jayden's film he was walking up changing the plays at the LOS prior to the snap. He would move at the snap because he recognised where the pressure was coming from pre-snap reads. His processing is vastly superior. He's a far better passer.......a far better player.
If you liked JJ, wouldn't the trade back scenario have been perfect for you? Trade with MINN, get 3 firsts, then do the same trade they did with the jets to get from 11 to 10 and take JJ anyway? They would have JJ + whatever they did with 23 + an extra first next year.
Yes, but there can be multiple correct answers. If JD pans out to his ceiling, this is the best possible outcome.
Leaving aside "the environment", on the field, JD is significantly lighter (taller and thinner) than RG3, his running is straight line speed - he's not elusive like Lamar, and he doesn't create, he just pulls it and runs. Maybe he'll learn, I sure hope so. But if he tries to run the way he did in college against NFL talent he won't make it past game 10.
You're right. He is not as good as RG3 was coming out.
Well RG3 seems to think Jayden is better than he was coming out so I think I'd trust his opinion on himself over internet GMs
@@triforcekid1076 That's fine. But it is not like RG3 is some great GM or talent evaluator. lol
@@nealm6764 Most of the I'd accept that but considering he is talking about himself I'm going to have to differ to his judgement on this comparison
@@triforcekid1076 Fair enough, But Jalen had a stacked lineup at LSU which RG3 did not @ Baylor.
I Would love for you to be right and me wrong. We will see.
@@nealm6764 RG3 said himself Jayden is the better player is the point I'm making he said he doesn't even know why people are comparing them other then they are both black so if RG3 is saying Jayden is better than RG3 then who are you to say it's because of this or that do you not think RG3 took all that into account as well and he still says Jayden is better
RG3 more talented in pretty much every way by a small margin but Jayden can at least play from the pocket at an adequate level. At least I’d hope
RG3 was a track star cursed with a strong arm with very little football IQ. Daniels is a true football player
Jayden’s passing SKILLS is better than RG3. He just had a cannon for an arm with less control and pass IQ. Jayden is better with timing throws and matching touch on his passes to make the ball easier to catch, as well as going through his progressions.
I have my concerns. With that said I told my son's when we drafted RG3 mark my words he will be out of the league within 4 years. well I was wrong he lingered as a backup in Cleveland and Baltimore. With Daniels he has the same issues. tall, lean can't play the middle of the field well, incredible deep ball thrower, can't slide, tons of speed but not really elusive moves. RG3, Kaepernick like. With that said I am not 100% sure he will be a failure like I was with RG3. Time will tell. Also we didn't have the Shanahan's who could find a way to turn the worst RB into a stud. this takes pressure off a young QB. Crossing my fingers that he doesn't turn out t be like the 30 other QB we got in the past 28 years
lol not even close dude. Cool story.
@@JackLane10 You one of those who believed RG3 was destined to be great if only he didn't have an injury. Tom Brady would have been great as well had he too not had a knee injury. What Drew Brees could have accomplished if it wasn't for that shoulder injury. Kurt Warner may have made the hall of fame if it not for all those injuries. Peyton Manning's neck injury the list goes on of QB's that might have been something if it wasn't for injuries. Cousins is definitely done and nobody will sign him again after that achilles injury.
we dead… i kno AP tried - but he needs to try better
FA is not over… and we can include next year’s picks
get JD some OL.!! or get him some crutches
Aye man, as Joe Whitt Jr said “This team isn’t for everybody”. If you feelin shakey, you can find the door
Bro how you think you know better than one of the best scouting minds in football?
Oline is gross. Go look up the Eagles' Jalen Carter's sack of Jayden Daniels in college where he picks him up with 1 arm and holds him there like a toy. The Eagles are men (aj brown, carter) , washington is boys (daniels, forbes)
We will look at one play....
And the Eagles still have one single measly Super Bowl after all these years of existence…
