Until Washington gets more pressure up front, the DBs are gonna get singed. Not only is everything new to everyone, the first team didn't play much in the preseason. They're still getting into "season shape". I think we'll have a better idea of who's going to work out best after about 4 games or so. Then we'll find out how good they are at making adjustments. I'm still hopeful things will click into place, but I don't think anyone thought this was going to be a one year turn around.

If they ever go back to DC, i can’t wait till everyone start complaining about how long it takes to get out of there. Oh on Top of the fact that it can barely put a parking lot there. They have played a lot of young guys none of the vets played any preseason game it's not like it's a video game. Offense needs to score touch downs that will help. They weren't on the field much against the Giants.

The issue here isn't DC statehood. Even if DC wasn't a state, there's still this INSANE tradition in the Senate that let's individual Senators block certain legislation and confirmations. It made a certain amount of sense before rapid transit and communication because Senators might know an appointee or about certain topics in a way no one else did because of their home/local knowledge. But in the modern age, it's an insane tradition that should be thrown out. And this guy is plainly abusing it's intended purpose.

It's frustrating watching Jon Allen anchor the defensive line because he doesn't. Anytime he's double teamed, it's over. Too bad he was not traded before the season. The further we go in the season, the less he will have value in a trade. Watch!

In this past off season I said yes, they messed up getting rid of Sweat. And though they may be able to use him if he had stayed, I’m okay that he’s gone now. I liked him and Young to be honest, but now Peters can tool this team the way he sees fit. I’d hate to see JAllen traded, but if they can get a 1st round pick, you never know. They didn’t play at all in preseason, so I’m willing to give JA and DP a pass for a couple more games…

They need to be unpredictable. That 4-man weak rush isn't cutting it.

Love is a strong word. I love his potential, but I need to see downfield throws and catches, and passing TDs before I buy that jersey.

If Johnny Newton and Ben Sinnott end up busts, then yes we traded the wrong lineman. But Peters wants a balanced payroll. Putting 1/3 of the payroll towards the D-line makes ZERO sense.

Keeping to short passes RPOs and screens might be boring but I’d rather that then him getting sacked and turning the ball over which can quickly kill a young QBs confidence …I like what I’m seeing so far. We fans are impatient wanting to see immediate results but gotta keep in mind the long-term vision. Under Snyder they would always react, never develop a plan and stick to it, instead opting for the big name free agent to appease the dumb fans need for instant gratification which ultimately led to decades of mediocrity and a carousel of coaches and QBs. I can see them trading Allen at the deadline. I am curious what they could get for him. I would of paid Sweat, he is an above average DE. I do understand they are willing to completely tear down the team and bring in their type of players. They just need to admit it is a total rebuild rather than playing the word game.

First of all, if you are a fan, and you think you can effectively evaluate the team's performance after only having watched the game live, you are naive. You would have to watch a second time because there are so many moving parts on every play that no human can account for each individual player's performance when watching the game live. In addition to seeing this game live on television, I also watched the game highlights from the team's yt account and it is _only_ in this second viewing of these plays where I can see the well designed running plays, for example, employing pulls and traps and draws. It's how I could observe Daniel's coolness in the pocket, arm delivery, and accuracy while under pressure. I can see the play designs along with the good execution or poor. And *with that said* I'm intrigued to see more - a reaction I didn't have after having only watched the game live. (edit: on a pessimistic note, Cornelius Lucs - if he has to play a lot at LT is going to be a problem for the team. He appears to be a complete turnstile and it's only a matter of time before someone is charging at Daniel's blindside.)

I can almost guarantee JA will not be here next yr. We can plug in Johnny Newton & pay for a real game changer on the edge or corner. 💯

Young had to go. Not a leader in locker room and diva ways rubbing off on sweat IMO. Payne and Allen may not be performing to the level yet, although mostly double teamed, they are better for the “team” than Young. Sweat not sure. I think we could’ve kept Montez and traded young.

They traded the correct lineman last year. Sweat and Young sucked here. They didnt stay in their lanes and over pursued. At least for Sweat. Chase Young had zero penetration and took off 90% of plays. Great trades last year
