- Rob and I take you on another backcountry camping trip. We put the canoe in the water at McLarens Bay, on the Ottawa River, and paddle about 2km to find our campsite for the night. We are expecting some heavy rains, so we are in a hurry to find camp and get set up before the weather turns bad. Once we are all set up, we gather some firewood for the evening, head out to do some fishing, and as usual Rob makes a wonderful dinner. The rain sets in for the evening just as we are finishing up dinner and the mosquitos & black flies begin to eat us alive! We head into our tent for some refuge from everything going on outside. Around 2:30am we are woken up by the heavy rain and to our surprise the tent was leaking! Hope you enjoy this video!!

Yes that is something we had considered and were aware of. We did check things out throughout the night for safety reasons and the water levels didn't rise very much at all. Thanks for watching 😊
Looked like a nice place to camp! Bummer for the rain but at least it cleared up! Hubby wondered what kind of steak that was…we might try that in the Dutch oven!!

nice work good locations I do overland camping on Crownland I am in the Huntsville area And lots of beautiful spots to go Drive in or hike I drive to most of my spots and they are the water
