This was probably my favourite episode ever. It's so cool seeing all the new interactions and Aaron is one hell of a deck builder. 4 decks with loads of interaction with one another and a similar power level. So impressive!
Alex's gleeful but brief decision paralysis was the best part of the video for me
Surprised Shilgengar didn't have angels to sacrifice since that gives so much better return. Really Orzhov angel-aristocrats seems like a spicier build.
That’s how I brewed it for my cEDH list. The Angels mixed with classic aristocrats plus all the best Stax pieces in the game make it unbelievably resilient, very hard to play against, and very fun to play. Love Shilgengar.

I was thinking you can make something silly with necrobloom and cycling lands. The lands can return themselves by dredging off the draw triggers. Combine that with an astral slide or something

Field of the Dead in the Command zone sounds insane.

The OG Field of the Dead is broken cause it’s just a land. Copiable, recurrable, just a big design mistake
Field does get substantially worse when it costs 4 mana.
Necrobloom is absolutely not bad, but it's not what Field is.
The insane part is, of course, the dredge part
I just want to say, I skip pretty much every preroll ad on a youtube video, but... I always stick around for that gamegenic riff! Props to whoever came up with it! It get me hyped
So pumped for Necrobloom and Imskir. Been looking for an excuse to build a lands deck and an artifact deck.
For Jim, I have a lands deck that doesn't do what his or "the lands decks" do in commander/edh. Also, thanks to Aaron for his hard work on this, brews can be fun but with something like this it's going to be super stressful and difficult.

Awesome video as always and fantastics brews from Aaron. One possible 'upgrade' I see for the Necrobloom, is adding half Snow basic lands instead of the regular ones, to upper the chances to create Zombies
I feel Aaron about Bosh, Toshiro got crept by Kaervek in OTJ
9:15 corpse knight being one of the few cards needing an errata at release. I still remember that thing coming out and people arguing about it at pre-release.

I believe there's a minor mistake from Jim when he swings with Six. It seems like he returns the land directly to play, but Six's trigger is supposed to put it in his hand. He didn't play any other lands for turn so he'd have just played it for turn in second main, so it doesn't affect anything but I figured I'd bring it up for engagement purposes.
I thought he just kinda skipped the part about putting it into your hand, since he was going to play it anyway, kinda to speed up the game actions. But you're right

I don’t know if they are Infinitokens the name brand, but i bought some dry erase tokens and it is incredibly useful to have them. Having up to 50 of whatever round i need makes accurately representing a boardstate so much easier, even if it’s not the prettiest being handwritten stuff.

I am a bit surprised to not see Nadu here, but since this is a cEDH focused channel normally I feel like we'll be seeing Nadu in the future a lot, lol
In the car on the way to the shoot Aaron mentioned something to the effect of "It'd be a bit of a mismatch and probably lead to negative comments." I tend to agree. I'm currently considering brewing up an idea for a cEDH Nadu shell on Live.
@@TheSpikeFeeders that makes total sense, it's pretty clear its "the tier above" in power. When people start a card off comparing it to Kinnan and Jhoira 2... it's probably pretty strong.

Such a new angry plant. I guess magic has a history of making angry plants ilke avenger of zendikar.
What would your opinion be on Shilgengar being an Angel Typal commander? It would allow for Orzhov angels, and seems more interesting that the typical, mono white version.
Lol I feel like Aaron has a slight advantage in knowing what's in the decks and what they should be doing.
Wait is that plant thing.....insane?!?!?! Can you return each land in your graveyard to hand at your drawstep??? They all go on the stack individually...??
Dredge is a replacement effect, not a trigger so it doesn't use the stack. You can't replace a single draw with multiple Dredges, you'd only be able to return a single land on draw step.
Aaron had a misplay. When he tutored for spine of Isha he should have gotten Portal to phyrexia. Jim on the other hand immediately cast Elesh Norn. So he deserves the win. All opponents should concede to her majesty and the might of Phyrexia.
aaron did the right thing by scooping to declare attacks w the coveted jewel trigger on the stack 💜

I’m confused on how the game ended, why did he concede??
Because Jim fills his board with everything in his graveyard, (including all the lands and Avenger of Zendikar, so he has about 20 10/10s because they're on the battlefield but also seen entering), and can still kill Arna Kennerüd a bunch by retracing the two removal spells in his graveyard with Six's ability. He can even recast Eerie Ultimatum again with it. So Aaron basically had no way to win without a board wipe, but it would have taken a long time to resolve the Eerie Ultimatum properly. I would have loved to see it played out too, but it made sense
